Cool Pair Vintage 1950s Atomic Era Biomorphic Ceramic Lamps Mid Century Modern
Item: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a crazy cool pair of unique biomorphic designed ceramic table lamps. Circa’50s /’60s. Both the back side and front side of the lamps show the same design (see photos). It will be left up to the purchaser to provide their own shades – there are currently none present. They’ll make a great addition to any mid century modern interior dwelling! The lamp stands approx. 23.5 tall (measured from the bottom of the base to the top of the harp), and approx. 15.5 tall (measured to the top of the light socket). The ceramic portion of the lamp base measures approx. 12.75″ tall x 7″ wide x 5 deep (at their maximum depth towards the bottom of the base). Condition: Overall, both lamps are in excellent cosmetic condition… There are no chips, cracks, breaks, scratches, repairs, etc. One of the sockets is a little loose, and simple needs to be tightened. The electrical wiring looks to have been replaced at one point in time – there are no issues with the wiring – no frays, splits, exposed and/or brittle wires. There is a lot of length to the wires, just an FYI. The lamps are both in fully-functioning, working order. As with all vintage lighting, we always strongly recommend having a licensed electrician inspect the wiring prior to long-term use. The lamps are b. All sales are final. Super Cool Vintage 50s Ceramic Lamp Fiberglass Shade Mid Century Modern Atomic
Item: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a super cool vintage atomic era ceramic table lamp complete with its original trapezoidal-shaped fiberglass lamp shade. Circa’50s /’60s. The ceramic base is brown in color with scattered white accents (see photos). The base also has a striated texture throughout. The fiberglass shade is beige in color, as is typical from lamps of this era, and it has black, gold and white randoms painted arcs on it throughout. The finial for the lamp is an amber colored glass ball, and we are assuming that it is original to the lamp as well. We are uncertain as to the maker – there are no marks, labels, or tags present. This lamp will make a great addition to any mid century modern or atomic-themed home! With the shade attached, the lamp stands approx. The ceramic alone measures approx. 14.5″ tall x 12″ wide x 5.75 deep. The shade alone measures approx. 7″ tall x 13″ wide x 8 deep. Condition: The lamp is in very good condition for its age. The ceramic base is free from chips, cracks, breaks, repairs, etc. The fiberglass shade is free from rips, holes, tears, repairs, burn marks, etc. All of the lacing is intact. The shade shows light traces of wear that are consistent with age and use. The bottom edge of the fiberglass material shows very mild discoloration – our guess is it should come out with a gentle washing. We have not attempted to try to clean it any way as it is minor and doesn’t particularly interfere with any thing. The electrical wiring appears to be original to the lamp, and is in good shape – there are no frays, splits, exposed or brittle wires, etc. As with all vintage lighting, we always recommend having the wiring checked by a licensed professional prior to long-term use. Cool Vintage 50s 60s Nutone Metal Atomic Wall Hanging Clock Mid Century Modern
Item: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a cool vintage Nutone wall hanging clock. Circa’50s /’60s. The clock face is metal, with a perforated off-white screen to which the red and black hour markers are attached. The movement hands are metal. The clock is marked “Nutone” on the front face towards the 6 o’clock position at the bottom. 7.75″ x 7.75″. There are a few minor cosmetic flaws that we’ll mention here. First off, there is what appears to be some residual paint along the outer edges of the clock (see photos) from where it was hanging. This can easily be cleaned off with a little effort – we just left it in the condition in which it was acquired. On the perforated off-white portion of the clock face, just under the 12 o’clock marker, there are a few ever so slightly larger holes. Not sure if this was a way to hold the clock in place, or if it was a slight imperfection in the metal when the clock was manufactured – either way, when hanging on a wall, it isn’t all that noticeable, but we wanted to mention it for accuracy. The clock hands, and the hour markers, show signs of some color loss (see photos). Aside from that, the clock could benefit from a gentle cleaning. The clock is in working order – it keeps accurate time and runs quietly – just needs to be hard wired into its new location, and it is ready for use.
