A vintage dining table. 1950s extending dining table made by Everest. Extending extra section neatly hidden under the top. Fantastic 50’s splayed legs with unusual stretcher. Top finished in walnut. Mid Century Rare Everest Walnut & Afromosia Sideboard 1950s Atomic Vintage Retro. A stunning and very scarce, mid century sideboard manufactured by Everest. It was normally retailed through Heals and Maples Furniture Stores. The design is way ahead of its time of the early 50s with a striking geometric pattern to the front of the cupboard doors which is routed into the walnut veneer. The walnut of the top and fronts contrast beautifully with the rich colouring of solid afromosia legs. Featuring full length splayed legs and elegant brass handles. This is a very stylish item of furniture from the early mid century and with plenty of storage. We have not seen this model very often and has a very striking look that will sit fabulously in a mid century modern or contemporary themed home. The sideboard has been cleaned and rubbed back. Then it has been finished in coats of buffing waxes to restore the deep shine to the walnut and protect the vintage wood. This item is in good condition with a very clean top. The sideboard shows wear on the bottom of the legs and some of the edging around the top. Please see pictures for any obvious dents or scratches. The item is not new and shows signs of previous use. After refinishing, the sideboard is a 8 out of 10 for condition and is a stunning example of high quality English mid Century furniture. Height above shelves: 24cm.
