Having crawled through abandoned and still furnished Miami hotels in the 80’s and 90’s before the renaissance of the 90’s and 21st century…. This relic from the 50’s has never been used and is highly collectible… A deep dark charcoal gray ground with flamingo pink… 24 inches wide x 27 inches long. This offering is for ONE former drapery panel that has been deconstructed… A mid century iconic barkcloth… Miami Beach style is alive and well in this iconic pattern and colorway… It’s as if this fabric were designed for the Miami Beach architecture of the hotels during the mid century… A style and vibe influenced heavily by shapes and color that together sing in unison a song that is like no other…. Meant to tug heart strings and open minds in a way that allowed the love of mid century modernism to sink in as it was sweeping the nation… This fabric is from the early 50’s to 1957… A ecru off creamy beige ground… Darkest teal turquoise emerald green… Darkest nearly black chocolate bordering eggplant… Yes it truly is… A nice nubby barkcloth… While it started its life as a drapery panel it remains strong… One for the serious modernist collector. I have another one also available… One is signed “Roomaker Fabric Guaranteed to be Vat Prints”… And the other is not signed. Maybe about an inch… But truly the body of this feels more unused.
