Large vintage 1960s Mid Century Modern space age domed terrarium herb garden planter greenhouse with a black tripod stand. Made in CHICAGO, USA by LAWNWARE Trade Mark=TM- TRIPOD IS MARKED. Authentic Mid Century Modern- 1960s. It comes with original instructions and the top for the humidity control. Globe is 16″ diameter, 50″ circumference, entire unit is 34 tall when placed on base. The base has a platform 18 ½ high where the flat bottom of the terrarium sits cradled between the leg tips. Stand and terrarium weigh 6lb. Overall condition is very good. No cracks or broken pieces. It does have some normal wear and scuffing/scratches can be seen in the right light. It does not look like it ever held living plants- perhaps sand and pebbles for plastic plants.
