Red opaline glass lamp designed by Stepán Tabera, mid century, atomic age
A striking red opaline glass table lamp, designed by Stepán Tabery and made by OPP Jihlava in the former Czechoslovakia in the 1970s. The glass is double-layered: white on the inside, and red on the outside. This item is in excellent condition. The wiring is original and fully functional; the plug is for a European socket. Fab Vintage Retro Mid Century Modern Atomic Bamboo Plant Stand Etagere 3 Plants
Here we have a lovely vintage plant stand. With a strong French look to it, this super looking piece probably dates to the late 50s/ early 60s and features a chunky curved bamboo frame with three attached plant pot holders and a little shelf at the bottom. The shelf area is made from a tough cardboard with tile effect- possibly known as resopal. This plant stand is in good vintage condition. As is almost always the case with bamboo plant stands, the rings that hold the plants sit at a slight angle to the main body- particularly the one at the back of this one. It’s firmly attached though, and the angulation of the rings means that trailing plants would look particularly good on the stand. The shelf has been wet at some point, and the base of it- old chipboard, underneath the tile effect, has swollen a little under the bottom of the bamboo rim. Again structurally sound, just best to point out. There are also some marks/ scratches to the black shelf, though nothing major and totally commensurate to age and use. Pot rings inner diameter 12cm.
