Vtg 50s 1950s Mid Century Modern Embroidered Atomic Starburst Space Age Fabric
Unused, authentic and original 1950s MCM deadstock space age atomic upholstery fabric featuring shimmering aqua embroidered starbursts on a shimmery and silky mottled bluish/brownish ground. Fabric content is unknown; definitely a form of synthetic. Very luxurious and high-end with the embroidery; not seen too much on this old atomic fabric. Original tag still stapled at edge. No information on selvages. Measures approx. A couple places where there are small pulls, shown. No rips, tears, holes, repairs noted. Two faint spots noticed on the light blue side, by left edge, photos 20-21. As shown in photos, edges have been folded and creased for a long period; may be difficult to smooth out. Perfect for accent pillows or a small upholstery project. Or just to tuck into a collection.

1950s Large Wire Frame Atomic Midcentury 8×10 Art Deco Retro Abstract Metal
This is very rare mid-century frame made of metal wire. It measures a giant 16 x 16″ and is about 5 1/2″ deep. The frame holds an 8 x 10 photo. There is a cardboard back and glass held by two bend tabs under edge. It is in very good condition with some wear/chips to paint and aging/edge wear to cardboard. The bent wires are welded to frame and top piece. They are stacked at intersection without welding. There are no broken welds. Please see photos for scale and exact condition. We can provide more info and photos as needed. This incredible, sculptural, abstract frame has been in our collection for over 30 years. We originally thought it may have been a store display piece but we once saw a small standard 5×7 one so it was likely intended for a moderne home. The designer is unknown, but it is reminiscent of metalwork by Frederick Weinberg, Tony Paul, Alexander Calder, and other midcentury designers.
