Mid Century Futuristic 1950’s ATOMIC Space Age Kinetic Barkcloth Vintage Fabric
That perhaps you’d want to jump in… The mid century was alive and well in Miami Beach and the futuristic patterns of barkcloth made their way into the Art Deco hotel scene in the 50’s as it did everywhere. So by the time I made it to the abandoned hotels in South Beach circa 1988… Many of the hotels still had all their contents in tact… And it looked like I described above… Tropical draperies with club chairs inn atomic patterns… Headboards recovered in atomic mid century patterns beside existing deco textiles. This offering is for ONE YARD x 35 inches wide of unused unwashed fabulous yardage… A cocoa latte ground right out or Starbucks : with a kinetic mobile flamboyance with what looks like atomic seagulls…. A generous conglamorization of pops of colors coming together in unison to create period atomic POP ART… Electric turquoise pops from the fabric… With black and white accents. A traditional texture of terrific barkcloth… But who wants to take a return right? So I do my best to add lots of photos that depict the weight and texture and do so thoughtfully so you are getting the most virtual experience. Of course I will take a return… I’m just hoping more the pricing will WOW YA over wanting to return it : Here is to a summer of fabulous Florida Finds.
