Vintage MCM Rye Studio Pottery Atomic Lamp Hand Painted, 1950s, 1960s, Suffolk VGC. A beautiful Rye lamp, hand decorated with a an alternating chequered pattern of stars -and circles in blue, red and yellow. Great geometric “Atomic” style design – I would think this is C1960. Printed blue Rye Pottery mark to base. A really unusual lamp – cool shape, fantastic design. It has a new cable of a good length and I would guess a replacement plastic lamp fitting, with switch, to take bayonet style bulbs. It was PAT tested for safety in 2023. A stunning Mid Century Modern piece of Rye Pottery. Condition – Excellent condition – no damage issues, minor wear or kiln-stick on underneath of base rim only – photos 17-19. See all photos to help assess condition fully. Size – approx – 22.0 cm tall to top of lamp fitting, 15.8 cm tall to top of pottery base, 12.1 cm across at widest, (nearly 8 3/4″ tall to top of lamp fitting, 6 1/4″ tall to top of pottery base, 4 3/4 across at widest). Weight of lamp – 745 g. I pack parcels very well using recycled materials where possible, both to keep costs down and be more sustainable.
