Palm Beach Pool Party Skirt. Size XXS / 2XS. Shown displayed on my size small dress form, and it’s unable to zip at the waist. This 1950’s / 1960’s era vintage knee length skirt has an incredible novelty print, reminiscent of mid century modern art, straight out of “Mad Men”. It’s a geometric type print with mixed shapes, some making a harlequin pattern in stylized lines. It’s a fitted waist style, with a wide waistband featuring belt loops. On the side of the hip, there’s one button and an “ideal” metal zipper. When I first saw this piece, I thought there’s no way that this was in such amazing shape, so I researched and nope, this is not a reproduction or a reprinted fabric. It is impeccably handmade, with pinking shears used for the seams, and hand stitching on the hem. Fabric type : Polished Cotton. Colors : Black, Orange, Cornflower Blue, Lemon Yellow. What makes this special : There’s a bit of yardage in this skirt, so if someone is crafty and enjoys reworking existing clothes, this could have the waist band removed, and be made into a skirt in your choice of sizes. If the waist band is removed, the remaining fabric will be 28″ x 90″, so about 2.5 yards of fabric at half the width of a bolt. Outfit idea : This is a perfect piece for wearing to the upcoming Viva Las Vegas weekender, or other upcoming summer car show events. Excellent preloved condition, with no flaws or damages to note. This skirt most likely was worn only a few times, as the fabric is bright, crisp and there are no signs to wear. It comes to you freshly cleaned and ready to wear. Measurements: please compare to your best fitting items at home to ensure a good fit! Waist: 24″ (12″ across) Button could be moved over 1″, so this may work for up to 25″. Classic mid century 1960s small side table, made in Europe, probably Germany or France. Rare and hard to find, these small tables are perfect as a side table for a cup of tea, or for numerous other decorative effects. Wooden screw in legs with brass tone shoes. Wooden top with yellow laminex or Formica finish and vinyl edging and featuring a fabulous hatch pattern typical of the mid century era. In excellent vintage condition.
