Stylish Mid Century French brass sputnik chandelier with five arms. Each arm is finished with a metal conical shade; either red, cream or black. The chandelier holds six lamps in total. The chandelier comes with it’s original ceiling rose and hook plate. This light has been independently PAT (safety) tested. It will require a suitably qualified / competent. Here’s a great 1950’s atomic style glass and metal lamp with it’s original nubby painted fiberglass two tier shade. This measures 26″ tall to the top of the shade finial, the lower tier of the fiberglass shade measures 15.5″ across. The shade is fantastic condition, the only thing I can fault it with is some old original glue residue at the seam (I believe this is factory glue) and it has some dust in the nooks and crannies. The top egg shaped hollow metal ball shows age appropriate surface tarnish and oxidation as does the metal base. These still display well as is or you might decide to paint these parts back to a chrome or gold finish. The glass part of the base is reverse painted in flecked pink, black, white and gold and is really striking! No damage to this portion or show of age because it is painted from the inside. The original cord is in fine condition and it works. It has a three way switch. This displays beautifully just as it is or jazz it up with some fresh shiny metallic paint on the metal parts to make it look like the day it was made!
