Asymmetric Mid Century Modern, Vintage, Retro Wall-Hanging Mirror with Black Glass Backing Frame. I’m not sure of the exact age of this lovely mirror. It belonged to my parents and I have seen photographs with this mirror hanging in the living room of the home they occupied from the early 1960’s. It is a lovely example of the fluid, organic shapes that typified the Mid-Century Modern style. As might be expected for an item that may be up to 60 or so years old, there is some foxing to the mirror and some of the black background that gives the backing frame it’s deep black colour has worn. I have shown all this in the photos to the best of my ability but it’s very difficult to photograph a mirror! There are no chips or damage to the glass of either the mirror or the backing frame. The fixing that enables the mirror to hang on a wall is solid and holds the mirror securely. Approximate measurements at the highest point is 73cm (28.5 inches), and 34cm (13 inches) at its widest part which tapers down to 26cm (10 inches) towards the bottom before it rounds off at the corners. I would be happy to answer any further questions about the mirror or add photos to the listing upon request.
