MID – CENTURY GOLD MINE CLOCK MADE WITH ORIGINAL WOOD FROM ARIZONA ABANDONED MINE CIRCA 1957 Approx. 22″ By 12″ By 4-1/2. The history of Arizona revolves around mining. The gold rush of 1849 brought countless people to California hoping to strike it rich. After several rich strikes in Arizona those who were having little luck left California and headed to Arizona. The mining industry built the state and towns sprung up overnight to provide goods and services for the miners. This one of a kind clock was made from the wood from an abandoned Arizona mine by a man whose family used to work the mines. The aged wood looks spectacular and it has the right feel and spirit of the Western mine era! The only’modern’ pieces are the clock movement and some mid century teak styled board on the back. Little details are all present, from the gold bearing mine cart to the fallen down door this piece was a labor of love. Even the clock markers are old railroad nails from the mine cart tracks! Regional artifacts with historic ties are always a wonderful find and this piece wouldn’t be made today. The memories of the mines and wild west are fading, but were much fresher and romanticized in the mid century period. This piece can stand by itself on a credenza, desk or shelf or be hung on a wall. The perfect Western piece for your Southwestern decor or as a mid century style break for your interior spaces! STRIKE IT RICH WITH THIS CHARMING CLOCK!

A stunning & very unusual 1960’s sideboard. Finished in a veneered teak wood with contrasting black edges & pale lilac formica details, and sitting on a solid black wood frame with stylish v shaped legs. There’s loads of storage space with a shelved cupboard to the right opening with sliding doors, 4 atomic pattern lined drawers to the middle with 2 formica & tile lined drop down cocktail cabinets, and a useful console table area to the left end. The whole unit is handbuilt & appears to be a one off custom piece with no makers mark present, it’s an amazing piece of furniture & will make a real statement piece for any retro lounge. Measurements Of The Item (Approx). W: 229cm, D: 48cm measured at the left section or 43cm measured at the right, H: 89cm at the highest point, 80cm towards the right section and 29cm at the left end. In excellent used condition, a clean & well looked after piece, very solid and heavy, all drawers & doors work fine & it sits well with no wobbles. The lower dropdown door has had a previous repair at the hinge as shown but it’s all fine now, there’s a very tiny chip towards the back right edge, some slight darker patchy marks to right side as shown & the odd minor knock/mark from general use but overall a stunning piece ready to use! Courier is a one man service and may require assistance to unload, (2 person available at request but price and timeframe will increase).
