This listing is for an authentic vintage Mid Century Modern electric ceiling or swag lamp light fixture. This has a ceramic or pottery shade with a tear drop shape. Shade has eight panels, with recessed yellow line delineating panels. Each panel has small round hole at top, and two oval shaped openings. Upper Ovals are about 1-3/4″ in length, and lower openings about 2-1/4″ in length. Ceramic portion is 12-1/2″ in height; and has a maximum outside diameter of 8-1/4″‘ with bottom opening having an inside diameter of 5. This fixture is not marked, but I have a matching fixture with original paper label from MODERNERA PORTA-LITE. It has 21 of chain, with a plug-in at end. Shade shows crazing, & needs light cleaning, but is otherwise in very good used condition. It should probably be re-wired for use. Please refer to “Condition” above and photographs for more information. This Mid Century Modern light fixture is absolutely old and authentic and sells with no reserve. An Atomic Sculpted Ceramic Table Lamp, United States, c. This Lamp would look exceptional while displayed in a Mid-Century inspired interior. The ceramic body is nicely sculpted, it’s finished in a black lacquer. The droplet motif along the center is shown in a bright white with a colorful mosaic pattern – It makes for the perfect contrast. The brass neck and round base shows mild tarnishing from age. The size of this lamp would accommodate many different style shades – A shade is not included. The Lamp is unsigned or marked. Condition: This Lamp is fully tested and works as it should, it does not have to be rewired. Mild surface scratches and blemishes along the lacquer are shown as well as tarnishing to the brass. Each Lamp is nicely sculpted of ceramic, the pair shows stunning lines and details throughout. Each Lamp is decorated with a hand painted double panel along front in a quartz shade, a continuous gold lacquer can be seen along the rest of the lamp for contrast. The orange lamp shades are original, each are finished in an orange felt, lined in the same quartz tone as the panels. The underside of each lamp is unsigned or marked. Condition: This Pair of Table Lamps were exceptionally well made. There aren’t any cracks or chips in the ceramic, although mild discoloration along the front of each lamp can be seen from age. Each Lamp is fully tested and works as it should, the pair does not have to be rewired. Dimensions: Each: 13 wide x 33 tall x 13 deep. Item: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a fantastic vintage atomic-era ceramic table lamp with its original accompanying fiberglass shade. The base is ceramic, and is pink in color with gold flecks throughout. There is a metal atomic accent piece just below the socket that rests above the ceramic portion of the base. The ceramic portion rests atop a brass metal base at the very bottom. The fiberglass shade is double-tiered – with the larger top tier being a pink color, and the lower smaller tier being an off-white color. The lamp has a standard on/off rotary knob located at the socket. On the back side of the lamp, there is a signature impression in the ceramic towards the base that we are unable to make out (see photo). It’s a killer lamp that’ll look great in any mid century modern or atomic themed home! The lamp stands approx. 30 tall with the shade attached. The distance from the bottom of the base to the light socket is approx. The ceramic portion of the base measures approx. 12.5″ tall x 7″ wide x 6 deep. The double tiered fiberglass shade measures approx. 22.5″ wide x 11″ tall x 12 deep. The round metal base at the very bottom measures approx. Condition: Overall the lamp is in very good condition for its age. The base is free from c chips, cracks, breaks, scratches, repairs, etc. The round metal portion of the base at the very bottom of the lamp shows a little color loss, but nothing that we’d consider alarming or that takes away from the presence and display of the lamp. The fiberglass shade is in great shape as well – no rips, holes, tears, punctures, cracks, breaks, repairs, etc. The lacing appears to be original to the shade, and it is intact. The electrical wiring appears to be original, and is in good condition – no frays, splits, exposed wires, etc. The lamp is in fully-functioning, working condition. As with all vintage lighting, we always recommend having the wiring checked by a licensed professional prior to long-term use. Please ask them and we will respond back to you in a timely manner.
