Welcome to Modern Artifax. 6 Center ball with 28 arms and has a elliptical shape. It uses standard candelabra socket bulbs. (We recommend 15 watt max bulbs). The lamp measures 52 across and 14 wide without bulbs. It comes 9 away from mounted surface. The lamp is offered without longest arms and would be 33 across. Please let us know your preference. With 9 opalin glass shades. Manufactured by Temde, Switzerland in 1950s/1960s. The chandelier needs 9 x E14 Edison screwfit bulbs. Whie lacquered metal tube and sheet, opaque glass, plastic. Overall 50 cm, total h. Of one shade 14 cm. Very good overall original vintage condition. Wear consistent with use and age. One plastic has cracs, but not bothering (see the last image). Designed and manufacured in 1950s/60s. The lamp needs 8 x E14 Edison screwfit bulb. Notice: The chandelier will be dismantled for safe transport. Each glass shade will be wrapped separately with air bubble folio. Mouth blown clear glass, brass tubes and sheet. 82 cm, overall diameter 75 cm (with glass shades). Diameter of one glass shade. The chandelier is in a very good vintage condition with minor signs of use and age. One of the glass shades with a small chips at the edge of the upper oppening (Please see the last image). An extraordinary piece of 1950s atomic lifestyle design by Swedish designers Uno and Osten Kristiannson for Luxus. Large, 6 globe chandelier. Very good vintage condition. Materials: Oak and opaline glass. Approximate measurements: 47 inches x 15″ x 13″. Luxus was founded in 1950 by Uno Kristiansson. At that time, the range consisted of home and interior lamps, furniture and mirrors. The products were designed by the two brothers Uno and Östen Kristiansson. In 1966, the furniture design became incorporated into Östen Kristiansson AB (Okabe), when he took over his fathers business Vittsjö Furniture, established in 1919. During the 1950s collections were launched in Sweden and internationally. Examples are the textile lamp shade Texolux, and the ceiling lamp Plafo in acrylic with a wooden cross which was added with variations. In 1968, Luxus presented collections in bright colours and textile designed by Marjatta Metso Vaara. From the 1970s, activities focused on the development of lighting in acrylic for public environments. Lamp series like Arkitektura, Candus, Skulptura, Discus, Pinus and Rustikus were designed for this purpose. The experience and developments made by the company has always been a part of the designing process and the manufacture of luminaries.
