Atomic ICONIC 1950s Mid Century CLOUD CHASERS Abstract Barkcloth Vintage Fabric
Dancing abstract figures define the darkness of space and matter… Free flowing contemporary dance that through the ages transcended into what would appear to be nude dancers… Coming out of the strict victorian era that had dancers wearing heavy garb and covering their bodies… The 50’s was a celebration of modernism… A deflection from past norms that were restrictive when it came to art… A celebration of space… And daring artists who were putting their historic mark on the times.. The fabulous 50’s… The era before the peace… This offering is for ONE unused and in brand new condition remnant of yardage. A neutral beige and white mottled ground with candied red and avocado limec cloud chasers amidst chartreuse lime clouds outlined with black and white lines. This pattern is called “Cloud Chasers” and is signed glamorously as such “Cloud Chasers Guaranteed Vat Colors” This is extraordinary and one for the designers and collectors with a special eye! Vintage Barkcloth Fabric Curtain Panels Pair Atomic Midcentury Geometric
Two fabulous Mid Century Barkcloth atomic abstract design drapery panels. Gray background with atomic shapes in colors of chartreuse, pinkish/red, ivory, and black. Unlined pinch pleated panels each measuring 80″ x 35″ at the top where it is pinch pleated, and 80″ x 44″ the rest of the fabric where not pleated. It appears that the bottom seam of each panel was sewn by hand, and the side seams were done by machine. See photographs for details. The drapes are in overall good condition. At the top where the pinch pleats were sewn there is some wear/fraying of the material. Please see photographs for examples of the wear/condition of the drapes.

Your piece will measures 36 inches long and 46 inches wide, I have up to 6 yards and if you order more than one piece it will be one continuous piece. This barkcloth is soft but stiff and is a medium weight upholstery fabric with a light texture. This is a classic clean atomic pattern with shades of brown, shades of orange, green, tan and black. This fabric would be amazing for pillows, bags and I’ve even seen this fabric stretched and used on picture frames as wall art.
Vintage Mid Century Modern 70s Retro Fabric Textile Atomic Groovy Starburst MCM
Vintage Mid Century Modern 70s Retro Fabric Atomic Starburst Groovy Textile Sheer Lot of 2 Sheets. Beautiful True Vintage VTG Retro Mid Century MCM Fabric Sample Scrap with Large Print Brown Starburst Circle Details. Because this is a sample / scrap, there are grommet holes at the top of the fabric. There may also be snags, small marks / stains (have done my best to picture everything), fraying on the edges, and general wear / fading / yellowing due to age. The fabric has been sewn before, so there is a seam sewn in the center of the 88″ x 75″ piece of fabric. The 142″ x 47″ piece of fabric has been cut and has a lot of fraying. There is also a slight musty smell from storage and age, which I have not tried to reduce. The fabric has also been folded, so has creases from this. The measurements are 88″ x 75″ and 142″ x 47″ (two separate pieces of fabric) but please note that the useable amount of fabric will be less due to the border and the grommet holes as this is a sample. Color: Earth tones – Brown, Yellow, Beige / White. Though I have tried to picture the fabric in different lighting, the lighting may alter the actual color of the fabric. These samples are perfect for sewing, crafting, curtains, upholstery, do it yourself home decor projects, or even clothing such as tops, skirts, scarves, purses, bags, or pants. ITEM : For your consideration we are presenting for sale an amazing run of vintage atomic era fabric / textile material. Circa’50s /’60s. Colors: Brown, Orange, Beige. This is one continuous piece of unusual material that is still on the bolt (see photos). The material feels like it is of a medium weight. It does not appear to have any stretch to it, but we’re not 100% certain as to type of material it – probably a cotton blend. There’s plenty of material here for several small crafting projects – perhaps curtains or pillows. 7 yards long x 44 wide. CONDITION : The fabric is new old stock.
