Fantastic Pair Vintage 1950s Atomic Lamps Mid Century Modern Fiberglass Shades
Item: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a fantastic set of vintage atomic era table or bedside lamps, complete with their original clip-on fiberglass shades. Materials: Ceramic, Metal and Fiberglass. Colors: Gold, Turquoise, Beige and White. The ceramic bases are matte, with the exception of the gold accents, which are shiny. The back and front of the bases also have an overlay of random white paint splatter, as well as on the lamp shades. Just above the ceramic portions of the bases, and just below the light sockets, is a curly metal atomic accent piece (see photos). The shades are an unusual shape (see photos). They are turquoise in color, and have random white paint splatter throughout. The on/off toggle switch used to control the lamp is located at the light sockets. This is a very cool pair of lamps that’ll look great in any mid century modern setting – make them yours! With the shades attached, the lamps stand approx. 20 tall (measured at the highest points on the shades at either side). The ceramic base measures approx. 7.25″ tall x 9″ wide x 3 deep. The fiberglass shades alone each measure approx. 9.75″ tall (measured at either side) x 9″ wide x 7 deep (measured at the center across the top). The curly metal accent pieces each measure approx. 4.5″ wide x 4.5″ deep. Condition: Both lamps are in excellent, immaculate condition – there are no chips, cracks, breaks, repairs, scratches, etc. The fiberglass shade are also in great shape – no rips, holes, tears, burn marks, repairs, etc. The lacing looks to be original to the shade, and it is intact. The electrical wiring looks to be original, is in in good condition – there are no frays, splits, exposed or brittle wires, etc. The previous owners took really great care of this set! Vintage 1950s Brass Metal Floor Lamp Fiberglass Shade Mid Century Modern Atomic
Item: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a fantastic vintage metal floor lamp with its original accompanying round fiberglass shade. The base is metal / brass. The lamp has a standard on/off rotary knob switch located just outside the socket. There is an original UL blue sticker label still attached on the outside of the socket cup. This lamp will make a great addition to any mid century modern or atomic-themed home! With the fiberglass shade attached, the lamp stands approx. 57.25″ tall x 19″ wide (the diameter of the shade). The height of the lamp socket measured from the bottom of the base is approx. The diameter of the round base at the bottom is approx. The fiberglass shade measures approx. 7.5″ tall x 19″ in diameter. Condition: Overall the lamp is in very good condition given its age. It does show some mild age appropriate wear – there are some small scattered tarnishing / discoloration marks on the bottom base (see photos), as well as a few small dings (again, see photos). They aren’t bad at all, and don’t particularly detract in our opinion. The fiberglass shade is in great shape – there are no rips, holes, tears, stains, repairs, creases, etc. The lacing appears to be original, and it is in good shape. Vintage 1950s Ceramic Metal Lamp Fiberglass Shade Mid Century Modern Light AS-IS
Item: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a super cool vintage ceramic and metal atomic era table lamp with its accompanying original fiberglass shade. The base is a maroon color, and below it hangs a round, spherical gold metal ball. The shade is fiberglass, and is beige in color with gold circles (see photos). The shade design mimics the round atomic ball at the bottom of the base. We are uncertain as to the maker – there are no labels, tags or otherwise present. Measurements: With the fiberglass shade attached, the lamp stands approx. The distance from the bottom of the base to the light socket is approx. The ceramic base alone measures approx. 8.25″ tall x 11″ wide x 4.25 deep. The round spherical metal ball that hangs under the ceramic base measures approx. The fiberglass shade measures approx. 16″ tall x 9″ in diameter (top opening) x 10.5 in diameter (bottom opening). Condition: The lamp is in okay condition, but does have cosmetic flaws, all of which we think are fixable – we just. Have the time presently to take on any projects. Are crack lines and a few small shallow chips in the ceramic (see all photos). These look like stress cracks to us. Everything appears to be stable – it. Look as though someone tried repairing and gluing the ceramic back together. Our guess is the lamp probably sustained a bang. It results in stress cracks. We think the small shallow chips can be filled in, everything sanded down, and then a fresh coat of paint can be applied – this would. Remedy the condition issue. Again, it’s doable if you have the time and are looking for a project. The only other thing that we can see that is wrong is the plug on. Of the wire needs to be replaced – it currently has. Black tape wrapped around it. In it’s current state, it still functions, but we definitely recommend having a licensed professional inspect it before long-term use. As for the fiberglass shade, it’s in great shape – no rips, holes, tears, burn marks, repairs, etc. The lacing appears to be original, and it is intact. This lamp is b. Item: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a vintage fiberglass lamp shade fitting for your Majestic lamp that lacks a shade. Colors: Beige, Black and Gold. 9″ tall x 18″ in diameter (top) x 19 in diameter (bottom). Condition: Overall, the shade is in good condition – there are no rips, holes, tears, burn marks, repairs, etc. There is some mild discoloration on the fiberglass, mainly towards the back to the side of the seam (see photos) – we did not attempt to clean the shade in any manner, so we’re uncertain if it’ll come out but it should with some mild detergent (see photos). Vintage 50s Metal Table Lamp Planter Fiberglass Shades Mid Century Modern Atomic
Item: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a cool vintage atomic era table lamp with original matching fiberglass shades. The base is constructed of metal. There are two curvy brass tubes which lead up to the two light sockets. Beneath the shades, but just above the round metal base, there is a round hollow cup that accommodate faux plants. The cup is also removable. The exterior color of the cup and base at the bottom are a pinkish color. There is a round ornate brass plate that is affixed to the top of the base at the bottom. The fiberglass shades are matching. Each is a beige color with thick gold and white brush strokes throughout (see photos). There is an on/off rotary knob switch that is located on the bottom base. It allows for 3-way functionality of the lamp: Either of the two sockets can be lit independently of the other, or a third twist of the rotary knob can allow for both sockets to be lit up at the same time. This groovy lamp will make a nice addition to any mid century modern or atomic-themed home! With the fiberglass shades attached, the lamp stands approx. 29″ tall x 18.5″ wide. Each of the shades measures approx. 7″ tall x 10″ in diameter. The round planter cup measures approx. 4.5″ tall x 5″ wide x 5 deep. The bottom of the base at the bottom measures approx. 5.5 in diameter. Condition: Overall the lamp in in very good condition for its age. There is some scattered paint loss here and there – it can easily be touched up or left alone – we chose the latter. The inside of the removable metal plant cup shows some signs of surface rust (see photo) – again, this can easily be touched up or just left alone. If you are going to put faux plants inside it, you won’t even know the difference. The lamp could use a general cleaning. The metal components appear to be free from dents, dings, repairs, etc. The fiberglass shades are in very nice shape – they are free from rips, holes, tears, burn marks, etc. There are some light marks on the fiberglass material that are consistent with age, and they should come out with a gentle cleaning. The lacing appears to be original to the shades, and it is intact. The lamp is in fully-functioning, working condition. Vintage Mid Century Modern Table Lamp Fiberglass Shade Butterflies tripod legs
Mid century cylinder lamp on three metal legs with butterflies and vegetation. Casts a nice warm glow. Takes a 25 watt standard base light bulb (not included). I would suggest not going higher as you could burn the shade. Size: 14.25 tall. The cylinder is 5.5″ across, and the footprint with the legs is about 7″. Has a 6′ long cord, which appears to be in good condition, but as with all vintage lamps, you may want to have someone who knows lamps take a look at it. On/off switch at bottom of socket. Lamp is in very good condition. No holes, cuts, burns or repairs to shade. Shade is affixed firmly to base so I did not try to see if it was removable. It may or may not be. Majestic Lamp Mid Century Modern Atomic Table Lamp Fiberglass Shade
A sleek, mid-century wood and brass lamp by the Majestic Lamp Company. This piece features striking curved and straight lines and rests on a minimal wooden base. The fiberglass lampshade includes a wrapped leather cord detail along the edges. 22.5″ x 24″ x 9″ (lamp with shade); 14″ x 16.5″ x 5″ (without shade and harp, height to top of socket); 24 (top of finial). 22.5″ x 11.5″ x 9 (shade). Overall age appropriate scratches, scuffs and marks. Some wear and loss of color to the leather on the shade. The lamp is in working condition.
