Vintage Mid Century 1950s Atomic Geometric Heavy Ceramic 21” Table Lamp 4.6kg
Fabulous and completely original Mid Century c1950’s table lamp. Attic find from a recent house clearance, that was much more’70’s /’80’s in style, we were very pleasantly surprised to find this well hidden amongst the old 1950’s radios, cameras and suitcases etc etc in the loft, where it had clearly been for decades. Stands approx 21” to the top of the fitting. Heavy and quite impressive ceramic lamp at approx 4.5kg, with a wooden base and neck which is not dissimilar to the style of an atomic dansette leg. We’ve given it a good general clean, but there’s no plug on the original non earthed wiring. We’ve left the fitting as found, but it will need rewiring. Has some scuffs to the cream ceramic – no actual chips or damage, but may benefit from a little paint tidy up to show it at it’s best. Special Note: Colour may vary depending on your monitor or viewing device. The colours of this painting are grays, black, white, and oranges. This is an original painting, not a print, by Palm Springs artist Clee Sobieski. The gallery-wrapped canvas measures 11×14″ with a depth of 7/8″ and is painted on all sides (see pictures) making it ready to hang and enjoy without the need of a frame. The painting is sealed with a polymer varnish with UVLS (UltraViolet Light Stabilizers). It is signed by the artist on the lower right. Additionally it is signed, dated, titled and catalogued on the reverse side. I have tried to describe the painting accurately but please reach out to me with any questions, comments or concerns BEFORE purchasing. This painting was created in a space that I share with my cat, Kipper. While he doesn’t actually help in the painting process he does tend to supervise my progress.
