This is Made of Brass and Lucite and Has Stunning Futuristic Satellite Sputnik Modernist Design with Three Weather Instruments Including: Aneroid Barometer, Thermometer, and Hygrometer. It Has a Desk Table Base, But Can Also Be Mounted on a Wall! It is signed “Germany”, and Measures approx. This is in Overall Good Original Condition with a Great Aged Patina, as pictured. Don’t pass this one up. This will make a stunning addition to any Collection. This is Used and Appears to be in Working Condition, But May Need Calibration. Vintage Atomic Age SPUTNIK WEATHER STATION Barometer BGM West Germany MCM 1950’s. Excellent Mid-century Modern Sputnik style weather station made by B. Of West Germany in the late 1950’s. This stylish scientific instrument contains a thermometer, hygrometer and barometer inside a clear tinted plexiglass globe with brass spikes and a radar dish resembling a Sputnik satellite. It stands on a removable brass base on which it rotates freely. The barometer band is marked “Made in Western Germany”, and the bottom of the brass base is marked B. The underside of the base has a wall mount for hanging onto a wall if desired. This weather station stands 8″ tall by 6″ in diameter, and weighs 1.25 lbs. It’s in great working condition with no cracks or breaks. A fascinating instrument for your home, office or Mid-century Modern collection. 10/10 – Perfect working order, the German quality of this instrument is excellent. 8.5/10 – This item is used, with signs of gentle use. There is some tarnish that can be polished off if desired, otherwise excellent condition. Great Vintage Mid Century plant stand, formica side table, flower rack, German flower table.. Made in the 50s / 60s. Made of formica covers and solid wood legs. Solid item, the position of the small covers is changeable. Vintage German Weather Station. Dimensions – 8″ Tall x 5″ diameter Ball. Brass with plastic ball case. The piece features thermometer, hygrometer and barometer. They all seem to work. Vintage 50s Mid Century German Modernist Rockabilly Atomic Metal Plant Stand. A rare mid century plant stand made of metal with atomic feet. The plant stand has four coloured tiers that are 15.5cm x 15cm with black and gold taping. It is in original vintage condition with some age related wear. The top tier of the plant stand leans to one side. The metal framework of the plant stand has age related marks and areas of paintloss. The gold and black taping on some of the tiers has marks and cracks commensurate of age and use. Each tier has age related marks. Please see the pictures.
