VINTAGE TENSION POLE FLOOR LAMP. Three way lights with original bulbous glass shades with gold hand painted accent. Shades are all in great shape with no cracks or chips (hand blown design). Metal has some light tarnish; no dings or cracks. Lamp dates to the 1950s. The top has a spring loaded extension. The piece works with 3 way switch that allows one lamp, two lamps or both lamps to be turned on simultaneously. Lamp fits a ceiling of 84″ to 96″ tall. Tall Vintage 1960s Majestic Wood Lamp Glass Shades Mid Century Modern Atomic Era
Item: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a super cool vintage table lamp. It is floral in appearance. The base is constructed of wood (looks like walnut), and the cylindrical shades are an opaque milk glass. The shades are held in place each by a metal disc that fastens directly onto the threaded socket cup. The lamp has an on/off rotary switch located on the base, and it allows for 3-way functionality: one twist lights up the upper socket independently, and a second twist lights up the lower socket independently, and finally, a third twist lights up both at the same time. There is an old piece of green felt still attached to the underside of the base. It undisturbed, but it’s a good indicator that the lamp was most likely manufactured by MAJESTIC. We aren’t 100% certain as we didn’t want to go underneath it to check for a label, but that’s what we’re leaning towards insofar as the maker goes. It’s a great lamp that’ll make a welcome addition to any modern interior setting! The lamp is LARGE – it stands approx. 42.5″ tall x 20.5″ wide. The distance from the bottom of the base to the upper light socket is approx. 25″ high, and 11″ to the lower light socket. Each of the opaque milk glass shades measures approx. 11.75″ tall x 5″ wide x 5 deep. The round wooden base measures approx. 9″ in diameter x 1.75″ tall. Condition: The lamp is in very good condition with no notable problems to report – the wood components are free from chips, cracks, breaks, scratches, repairs, etc. It displays very well in its current state without being polished. The glass shades are also in excellent shape – there are no chips, cracks, breaks, scratches, repairs, etc. Lastly, the electrical wiring is in very good condition and appears to be original to the lamp – there are no frays, splits, exposed or brittle wires, etc. As with all vintage lighting, we always recommend having the wiring checked by a licensed professional prior to long-term use. Vintage Mid Century Nathan Glass Topped Atomic Coffee Table in Good Condition. Here is a classic and beautiful mid-century glass-topped teak Atomic coffee table or occasional table by Nathan. The teak, teak veneer, plywood and glass are in good condition. There is a small blemish to the top of the table (see final image) and some minor superficial scratches, while there are some very small, almost indistinguishable, surface scratches to the glass probably less wear and tear than would normally be expected for a vintage piece of furniture. The teak and teak veneer have been revitalised through cleaning and a good application of teak oil. This unique style of table is highly sought-after. It is elegance itself, with the removable glass top sitting in a curved triangle design – called a Reuleaux triangle (I looked it up). The legs and shaped ply stretchers form a negatively-curved triangle I looked that one up too! , which contrasts beautifully with the top. While this is a mid-century design, it is a timeless piece of British furniture and would look good in a modern home as well as a classic or retro-themed interior.
