Item: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a rare vintage atomic era table lamp. The base is constructed of iron, and there are two ceramic inserts, one rests at the very top and serves as a shallow dish – perhaps for some faux plants, and the other insert is also ceramic and encloses the light bulb. Both ceramic pieces are off-white in color, with thin black paint swirls throughout. The lamp stands approx. The ceramic dish / bowl at the top has a diameter of approx. 11, and it is approx. The ceramic encasement around the light bulb measures approx. 8″ tall x 6″ in diameter. The distance between the legs is approx. Condition: Excellent condition – no chips, cracks, breaks, repairs, bends, dents, dings, etc. The interior side of the dish at the top shows some minor signs of light discoloration from age and use – nothing objectionable whatsoever (see photos)… We’re solely mentioning it for accuracy. The electrical wiring is in good condition – no frays, splits, exposed wires, etc, and it looks to be original to the lamp. As with all vintage lighting, we always recommend having the wiring checked prior to long-term use. NOTE : The lamp will be packaged with extreme care. A nice vintage pair of Mid Century Modern Lamps made by FAIP, stamped on back of each one. Three sides have bold black and white Egyptian type Hieroglyphic designs. These are in the style of Fredrick Weinberg. They are in overall very nice condition, but could use some cleaning. They do work, but with age, I would suggest updating the wiring. The harps and finials are included. The harps show age, but could be spray painted or replaced. The finials are original plastic. A piece of felt is covering the bottoms of the lamps. These lamps are heavy, and have a great mid century look! Each lamp base is 16 1/2″ high x 6″ x 4. They will be packed securely for safe arrival to your door!
