FOR SALE IS THIS VERY RARE AND COOL LOOKING 1950’s ATOMIC STYLE TABLE LAMP. THE LEGS AND BODY (BALL) ARE MADE OF WHAT I BELIEVE IS METAL AND SOME KIND OF COMPOSITE (BALL). THE SHADE IS MADE FROM METAL AND FABRIC. THERE IS LIGHT WEAR THROUGHOUT THE LAMP, WITH LIGHT SCUFFS TO THE LEGS, BODY (RED BALL) AND THE SHADE, BUT NOTHING THAT IS TOO SERIOUS AND IT COULD BE “TOUCHED UP” BY THE NEW OWNER. HAVING INSPECTED THE LAMP, IT IS MY OPINION THAT IT HAS BEEN RESTORED ON THE BALL (RE-SPAYED) AND THE LEGS HAVE ALOS BEEN TOUCHED UP IN PLACES TOO. NOT UNUSUAL OR SURPRISING GIVEN THE AGE OF THIS LAMP AND THE FACT THAT IT HAS BEEN USED DAILY OVER THE DECADES. THE BLACK METAL LAMP CAGE HAS ALSO BEEN TOUCHED UPIN PLACES. IT IS MY OPINION THAT THE FABRIC IN THE SHADE IS ORIGINAL AND SHOWS MINIMAL SIGNS OF WEAR/DUST. PLEASE ZOOM IN ON THE PHOTOS FOR GREATER DETAIL. THIS IS AN ORIGINAL PERIOD LAMP AND I HAVE DECIDED NOT TO ALTER IT IN ANY WAY. SURELY A RARE EXAMPLE AND AN OUTSTANDING PIECE OF DESIGN FROM THE PERIOD – FIND ANOTHER! THIS IS FOR THAT PERSON WHO “HAS EVERYTHING” – A TOTALLY ORIGINAL AND UNUSUAL GIFT. Item: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a cool and rare set of two (2) vintage wire fish wall hangings. Unmarked – we are uncertain as to the maker. Measurements: The fish with the larger eye measures approx. 17.75″ wide x 7.25″ tall. The fish with the smaller eye measures approx. 17.25″ long x 8-5/8″ tall. Condition: For their age, they are in decent condition, but not perfect. The each have black color loss in areas. A simple repaint will fix that, or they can just be left as they are – we chose to leave them in the condition in which they were acquired. The fish with the larger eye has a weld separation towards the back where the two wires cross to for the tail (see photo). This can simply be spot welded, or just left alone. They display nicely when hanging together on a wall. Please ask them and we will respond back to you in a timely manner.
