Roger Feraud – Astrolabe – Coat/Hat Stand. By GEO – 1950s. An ICONIC Atomic-Space Age Design – with more than a touch of Gallic Elegance & Design Flair. These Provide a Very Stylish Key Design Element to any Mid-Century Interior. And now difficult to source – even in France – and especially so, Post-Brexit. Bought during a holiday in the South of France in 1996 (and – a pig to get back to the UK I can recall :). And carefully stored-unused ever-since? ! And in very good++ and entirely original condition. The elegant original gilt globes are luckily un-painted/’restored’ (a common fault) – and with just with an attractive sparkle-patina for authenticity. The frame also is in its original satin black, which remains in good condition with absolutely no corrosion. Also, the ball feet are all present & perfect too. With this example the feet are less splayed – Apparently to reduce its footprint for a narrower hallway/space (a factory option). With all the legs being an even height – and.
