This vintage Mid Century Atomic Age table lamp is 23.5 inches tall with a base diameter of 3.75 inches. The geometric shades that constitute the body and base are classic atomic age design. The swirling line pattern, reminiscent of the path of a rotating or revolving celestial body on the shade, is its most interesting artistically expressive feature. The shade is 12 inches tall with a top diameter of 6 inches and a bottom of 10. Some condition issues to the body and base of the lamp, minor wear (petina and surface scratches). Item: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a super cool atomic era table lamp complete with its original double tiered fiberglass shade. Circa’50s /’60s. Manufactured by Deena China. Materials: Lamp base is brass, ceramic (china). The shade is fiberglass. The shade is green in color, and it has black and gold paint brush stokes throughout the exterior surface. The lamp operates with a standard rotary knob switch that is located at the socket. It’ll make a fabulous addition to any mid century modern interior! PLEASE NOTE : We have a second matching lamp that we will be listing separately once this one sells. If you are the winning purchaser to this lamp, and you are in the market for a second, please message us at the close of the listing. Measurements: With the shade attached, the lamp stands approx. 34″ tall (measured from the bottom of the base to the top of the finial) x 17″ wide x 17 deep. The distance from the bottom of the base to the light socket is approx. The art pottery portion of the base alone measures approx. 11″ tall x 4″ wide x 4 deep. The round brown metal base at the bottom of the lamp measures approx. 6.25 in diameter. The double tier fiberglass shade measures approx. 11 tall, with the smaller upper tier measuring approx. 13″ across the top opening, and it tapers down to 8″ across the bottom opening of the tier. The lower tier is uniform in diameter, and it measures approx. Condition: The lamp is in good condition for its age, but it is not perfect. With a little TLC, it could be fixed up quite nicely. With respect to the base, the ceramic portion is in excellent condition – there are no chips, cracks, breaks, scratches, repairs, etc. The brass components show signs of tarnishing, most noticeably on the round brass base at the bottom. This can easily be swapped out for a new base, or it can be painted. It doesn’t appear to have any dents or dings on it – just discoloration. As for the shade, it’s in overall decent shape, but has a few notable issues. First off, the smaller upper tier has a hole and a puncture in it (see arial photo provided). Luckily, it can only really be seen if you are looking at the shade from above. When looking head-on at the shade, the hole and puncture are hidden from view because they are blocked by the lower tier. In addition to that, some of the lacing is missing; however, the holes are still intact. The lacing can easily be replaced as the holes it goes through have not been compromised. The shade could use a gentle cleaning – we have not done anything in an attempt to clean and/or polish the lamp – it is being presented for sale in the exact condition in which it was acquired. The electrical wiring appears to be original, and is in good shape – no frays, splits, exposed and/or brittle wires. While the lamp is in fully-functioning, working condition, we always will recommend having a licensed professional inspect the item prior to long-term use. Item: For your consideration we are presenting for sale an amazing vintage plaster table lamp with its original accompanying two-tier fiberglass shade. The base has a rather organic, other worldly look to it. The lamp has two different lights – one comes from the main socket, and then there is a smaller, Christmas-style bulb that is embedded into the plaster base. The lamp has an on/off rotary knob switch that is embedded into the bottom of the base. It allows for three-way functionality. One twist will light up the small bulb on its own. A second twist will light up the main bulb on its own. And a third twist will allow both to be lit up together. We are uncertain as to the maker – no signatures or labels were detected. This is a fantastic lamp that’ll make a great addition to any mcm interior setting! With the fiberglass shade attached, the lamp stands approx. The plaster base alone measures approx. 19″ tall x 10″ wide (measured at the bottom of the base) x 5.25 deep (measured at the bottom of the base). The distance from the bottom of the base to the light socket is approx. The double tiered fiberglass shade measures approx. 12 tall, with the upper tier being approx. 15.5″ wide x 12″ deep, and the lower tier being approx. 20″ wide x 12″ deep. Condition: With the exception of one small, old stable chip on the plaster base, the lamp is in exceptionally good and clean condition. The chip can easily be filled in or just left alone. The fiberglass shade is in great shape as well – no burns, creases, breaks, repairs, punctures, etc. All of the lacing appear to be original, and it is intact. The electrical wiring appears to be original to the lamp, and it is free from having any issues – no frays, splits, exposed and/or brittle wires. The lamp is in fully-functioning, working order. The fiberglass shade measures approx. 11.5″ tall x 13″ diameter (top) x 14.5 diameter (bottom). Condition: Overall the lamp is in very good condition – the ceramic base is free from chips, cracks, breaks, repairs, etc. The colors appear nice and unfaded. The fiberglass shade is free from rips, holes, tears, stains, burn marks, etc. The gold lanyard lacing appears to be original, and it is intact. The electrical wiring also looks to be original to the lamp, and it’s in good shape – there are no frays, splits, exposed or brittle wires. The lamp is in fully-functioning, working condition.
