Vintage Atomic Side Coffee Table Oriental Print Top Dancette Legs Retro 60’s MCM Atomic Console Table. In very good vintage used condition, with close to none signs of age or wear. Some minor scuffs at the bottom of legs. This is such a unique mid century coffee table, has black tapered dansette legs with brass feet. Underneath the transparent perspex table top there is a black print with a beautiful oriental scene of people, rickshaws, pagodas, cherry blossom, water and birds in pastel shades of pink, blue, green and white. The table is edged in black and gold beneath of which is a beautifully quilted curved vinyl edging. No damages or stains. Height – 40 cm. Width – 91 cm. Depth – 40 cm. Shelf underneath is 35 x 24 cm and gap in between is 8.5 cm. Please bear in mind that this is original vintage table and had quite a long life before finding it’s new home, so naturally would present some signs of age and use. Do not expect to get Brand-New item. FOR SALE IS THIS VERY RARE AND COOL LOOKING 1950’s ATOMIC STYLE TABLE LAMP. THE LEGS AND BODY (BALL) ARE MADE OF WHAT I BELIEVE IS METAL AND SOME KIND OF COMPOSITE (BALL). THE SHADE IS MADE FROM METAL AND FABRIC. THERE IS LIGHT WEAR THROUGHOUT THE LAMP, WITH LIGHT SCUFFS TO THE LEGS, BODY (RED BALL) AND THE SHADE, BUT NOTHING THAT IS TOO SERIOUS AND IT COULD BE “TOUCHED UP” BY THE NEW OWNER. HAVING INSPECTED THE LAMP, IT IS MY OPINION THAT IT HAS BEEN RESTORED ON THE BALL (RE-SPAYED) AND THE LEGS HAVE ALOS BEEN TOUCHED UP IN PLACES TOO. NOT UNUSUAL OR SURPRISING GIVEN THE AGE OF THIS LAMP AND THE FACT THAT IT HAS BEEN USED DAILY OVER THE DECADES. THE BLACK METAL LAMP CAGE HAS ALSO BEEN TOUCHED UPIN PLACES. IT IS MY OPINION THAT THE FABRIC IN THE SHADE IS ORIGINAL AND SHOWS MINIMAL SIGNS OF WEAR/DUST. PLEASE ZOOM IN ON THE PHOTOS FOR GREATER DETAIL. THIS IS AN ORIGINAL PERIOD LAMP AND I HAVE DECIDED NOT TO ALTER IT IN ANY WAY. SURELY A RARE EXAMPLE AND AN OUTSTANDING PIECE OF DESIGN FROM THE PERIOD – FIND ANOTHER! THIS IS FOR THAT PERSON WHO “HAS EVERYTHING” – A TOTALLY ORIGINAL AND UNUSUAL GIFT. IT HAS BEEN REWIRED JUST RECENTLY, ALTHOUGH IT IS NOT PAT (PORTABLE APPLIANCE TESTED) AND AS SUCH I WOULD RECOMMEND THAT THE NEW OWNER GETS THIS DONE BEFORE USING THE LAMP. Unknown age and maker, a very distinctive piece, and would look fantastic in correct setting, some evidence of age and use but generally very good, one faint mark to top. Plywood with a white veneer in construction, legs unscrew so easy to transport. Rear and knee hole are painted white, not veneered in these areas. Overall dimensions approx H 75cm, L 123cm, D 40cm, drawers to side approx D 40cm x H 9cm W 37cm bottom drawer closer to 38cm, middle drawer D 40cm H 9cm W 48cm, knee hole approx H 60cm D 40cm, W 45cm.
