Vintage 50s 60s Adjustable Metal Wood Atomic Era Floor Lamp Mid Century Modern
Item: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a cool vintage metal and wood adjustable atomic era floor lamp. Circa’50s /’60s. The lamp features three pierced conical shades that can pivot / rotate at their connection points. Each of the metal shades is adorned with a wood accent piece along the top surface (see photos). The lamp has three-way functionality: one turn of the rotary knob switch allows the top and bottom shades to light up together, another turn of the switch will allow the middle shade to light up on its own, and a final turn will light up all three shades at the same time. The on/off rotary knob switch is located on the vertical column (see photo). Measurements: The lamp stands approx. 62.25 tall measured from the bottom of the base to the top of the vertical bar. Each shade measures approx. 10 long (measured from the top of the wooden accent to the edge of the shade opening at the bottom). The round metal base at the bottom of the lamp measures approx. Condition: There are no breaks, repairs, etc. The lamp is in good condition for its age, but it does have some cosmetic issues that we will mention. First off, the shades shows loss of the gold coloration in areas. The metal underneath is a silver color, and it shows in those areas (see photos). This can easily be remedied with a fresh coat of paint, or it can be left alone. We chose to leave it in the condition in which it was acquired. The wooden accent pieces at the tops of each of the shades could use a gentle polishing, but they do display fine as they are. The round metal base at the bottom of the lamp shows signs of tarnishing, mainly around the edges (see photo). Again, we chose to leave it as it was acquired, but it can easily be repainted, if desired. Each of the shades pivots / turns well at their connection points. The electrical wiring is in good shape – there are no frays, splits, exposed and/or brittle wires. The lamp is in 100% working order. Item: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a super cool vintage sculptural carved wood atomic fish lamp. Circa’50s /’60s. The lamp features three (3) stacked wooden fish that are attached to the central vertical metal column. We are uncertain as to the maker – no tags or labels are readily visible. There is felt on the underside of the base – there may be something underneath – we didn’t attempt to remove it to check. There is no shade present – that’ll be left up to the purchaser to provide on their own. The lamp stands approx. 27 tall (measured from the bottom of the base to the top of the light socket). The three wooden fish are all roughly the same size – approx. 5.5″ wide (measured from the front of the head to the tail) x 5.5″ tall x 1 thick. The round wooden base at the bottom measures approx. Condition: The lamp is in very good, all original vintage condition – there are no chips, cracks, breaks, repairs, etc. There is some very mild surface wear, but nothing objectionable. We have not attempted to clean / polish the lamp in any way – it is being presented for sale in the condition in which it was acquired. In our opinion, it displays very well in its current state. The round metal disc that sits directly atop the round wooden base shows some signs of mild tarnishing (see photo) – again, nothing objectionable, and does not take away from the display of the lamp. The electrical wiring appears to be original to the lamp, and is in fine shape – there are no frays, splits, or exposed wires. The lamp is in fully-functioning, working order. No labels are makers marks present, but we think it might have been manufactured by Majestic. The lamp consists of brass tubing with a long boomerang-shaped accent piece running up the center. The lamp has three cylindrical shades set at staggering heights at the top. The shades look to be constructed of fiberglass with a cloth-like beige material over the fiberglass (see photos). Each of the sockets has its own on/off pull chain switch which can control each socket independently from the others. It’s a handsome looking lamp that’ll make a splash in any mid century modern or atomic themed home! With the three cylindrical shades attached, the lamp stands approx. 64.5″ tall (measured from the bottom of the base to the top of the upper-most shade), 59.75″ tall (to the top of the center shade), and 54 tall (to the top of the lowest shade). The distance from the bottom of the base to each of the light sockets, highest to lowest, is 55″, 50″ and 45 high. The central wooden accent piece measures approx. The base at the very bottom of the lamp measures approx. 14″ wide x 8″ deep. Each of the cylindrical shades measures approx. 12″ tall x 4.5″ in diameter. Condition: The lamp base is in very good condition, while the shades are in fair condition. The base itself is free from chips, dings scratches, repairs, etc. The brass tubing is free from rust and oxidation. We have not attempted to clean or polish the base components in any way as we feel they display nicely in their current condition (examine the photos that accompany the listing). The shades show some rippling and waves in the fiberglass material (again, see photos). One of the upper frame rings on one of the shades is also coming loose a little. If we were purchasing the lamp for ourselves, we would use the existing shades as templates to have new ones made. Item: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a cool vintage mid century modern atomic era floor lamp. Circa’50s /’60s. No labels are makers marks present, but we think it might have been manufactured by Majestic. The lamp consists of brass tubing with a long boomerang-shaped accent piece running up the center. The lamp has three cylindrical shades set at staggering heights at the top. The shades look to be constructed of fiberglass with a cloth-like beige material over the fiberglass (see photos). Each of the sockets has its own on/off pull chain switch which can control each socket independently from the others. It’s a handsome looking lamp that’ll make a splash in any mid century modern or atomic themed home! With the three cylindrical shades attached, the lamp stands approx. 64.5″ tall (measured from the bottom of the base to the top of the upper-most shade), 59.75″ tall (to the top of the center shade), and 54 tall (to the top of the lowest shade). The distance from the bottom of the base to each of the light sockets, highest to lowest, is 55″, 50″ and 45 high. The central wooden accent piece measures approx. The base at the very bottom of the lamp measures approx. 14″ wide x 8″ deep. Each of the cylindrical shades measures approx. 12″ tall x 4.5″ in diameter. Condition: The lamp base is in very good condition, while the shades are in fair condition. The base itself is free from chips, dings scratches, repairs, etc. The brass tubing is free from rust and oxidation. We have not attempted to clean or polish the base components in any way as we feel they display nicely in their current condition (examine the photos that accompany the listing). The shades show some rippling and waves in the fiberglass material (again, see photos). One of the upper frame rings on one of the shades is also coming loose a little. If we were purchasing the lamp for ourselves, we would use the existing shades as templates to have new ones made. That’s not to say that the existing shades don’t display okay – they’re just not perfect… We’re mentioning all of this for accuracy. The electrical wiring looks to be in very good shape – there are no frays, splits, exposed or brittle wires, etc. As with all vintage lighting, we always recommend having the wiring checked by a licensed professional prior to long-term use. Vintage 1950s 1960s Abstract Sculptural Atomic Fish Wood Lamp Mid Century Modern
Item: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a super cool vintage sculptural carved wood atomic fish lamp. Circa’50s /’60s. The lamp features three (3) stacked wooden fish that are attached to the central vertical metal column. We are uncertain as to the maker – no tags or labels are readily visible. There is felt on the underside of the base – there may be something underneath – we didn’t attempt to remove it to check. There is no shade present – that’ll be left up to the purchaser to provide on their own. The lamp stands approx. 27 tall (measured from the bottom of the base to the top of the light socket). The three wooden fish are all roughly the same size – approx. 5.5″ wide (measured from the front of the head to the tail) x 5.5″ tall x 1 thick. The round wooden base at the bottom measures approx. Condition: The lamp is in very good, all original vintage condition – there are no chips, cracks, breaks, repairs, etc. There is some very mild surface wear, but nothing objectionable. We have not attempted to clean / polish the lamp in any way – it is being presented for sale in the condition in which it was acquired. In our opinion, it displays very well in its current state. The round metal disc that sits directly atop the round wooden base shows some signs of mild tarnishing (see photo) – again, nothing objectionable, and does not take away from the display of the lamp. The electrical wiring appears to be original to the lamp, and is in fine shape – there are no frays, splits, or exposed wires. The lamp is in fully-functioning, working order.
