Vintage MG Wheeler Dazor Site Light Metal Tan Desk Lamp Saucer UFO Mid Century
Item: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a vintage MG Wheeler / Dazor / Site Light desk lamp. Color: Tan / Taupe. The metal arm that the shade is attached to can rotate back and forth at its axis attachment point with the round metal base at the bottom of the lamp. The round metal base is weighted to prevent the lamp from getting knocked over. The lamp has a standard on/off rotary knob switch located just below the socket on the outside of the socket cup. The lamp has what appears to be original felt on the bottom of the base. We have not attempted to remove it. The lamp does not appear to have any labels remaining on it, unless there’s one under the felt. It’ll make a great addition to any modern interior or office setting! The lamp stands approx. 16 tall measured from the bottom of the base to the top of the brass finial. The saucer shade measures approx. The extension arm measures approx. The weighted round metal base at the bottom measures approx. The lamp weighs approx. 10.6 pounds it’s heavy! Condition: Overall the lamp is in very good condition – no dents, dings, breaks, repairs, burn marks, rust, oxidation, etc. It could use a gentle cleaning – we left it in the condition in which it was acquired. There is one tiny spot on the exterior of the socket cup where the paint flaked. It’s extremely small, and doesn’t affect anything in terms of the presentation of the lamp, but we wanted to mention it for accuracy. The electrical wiring looks as though it was probably replaced at one point in time – it’s in very good shape – there are no frays, splits, exposed or brittle wires, etc. As with all vintage lighting, we always strongly recommend having the wiring checked by a licensed professional prior to long-term use.
