Vintage Atomic 1960s Metal Coat Stand by Hago. About as retro as it gets, these vintage’atomic’ 1960s coat stands are a load of fun. This one by Hago is particularly striking because of the yellow plastic and black metal combination. Designed to accommodate hats and coats at the top and umbrellas and walking sticks at the bottom, they are actually very practical stationed in an entrance hall. Great complete order (often the round drip cups in the base are long gone) and ready to make a statement. It is in good, used condition. We have checked and surface cleaned the coat stand but otherwise the finish is all original. Do browse our photos for an accurate account of the piece’s condition. There are some minor chips and some aging to the black painted stem, base and coat pegs as shown. The yellow plastic balls on the coat pegs are securely attached and in very good order. Likewise, the three circular drip cups that sit in the weighted base are in very good order too. A couple of the coat pegs are a little bent with use over the years which can be seen in our photos but this isn’t hugely noticeable. Overall, a solid, well-made piece with no areas of concern.
