30s Egret meets Fifties Atomic Mid Century Barkcloth Pillow Cover Vintage Fabric
Florida Bungalow was one of the first innovators to create huge quality dramatic and flamboyant pillows for 30 something years. I have a unusual creative eye that conjures up unique and precious pieces of vintage art by todays standards. So let us transport you back to a time and place far from today in a world of everlasting nostalgia and whimsy. Contact me if you’d like it stuffed! I make all kinds of pillows… But some of my favorite designs are the ones like this that are created right from my memory bank from the 80’s and seeing the toppled over mess of hotel rooms in boarded up hotels. An eclectic mix of barkcloth patterns through the decades… The Art Deco egrets and the 50’s atomic mixed together in a cheap renovation… Which is what was left inside these time capsules. A used a unused textured nubby barkcloth rustic orange patterned egret on swirl pattern from the 1930’s on one side and a dark teal 1950’s atomic geometric on the other. So if you have design mood swings you can always turn it around. I used a patchwork of sustainable scraps for piping so you literally getting a bunch of patterns mixed into one art piece. It measures 22 ” x 21″ in size and has a hidden zipper for easy insert of a pillow form, which is not included. If you would like one, please contact me.
