Cool Pair Vintage 1950s Atomic Era Biomorphic Ceramic Lamps Mid Century Modern

Item: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a crazy cool pair of unique biomorphic designed ceramic table lamps. Circa’50s /’60s. Both the back side and front side of the lamps show the same design (see photos). It will be left up to the purchaser to provide their own shades – there are currently none present. They’ll make a great addition to any mid century modern interior dwelling! The lamp stands approx. 23.5 tall (measured from the bottom of the base to the top of the harp), and approx. 15.5 tall (measured to the top of the light socket). The ceramic portion of the lamp base measures approx. 12.75″ tall x 7″ wide x 5 deep (at their maximum depth towards the bottom of the base). Condition: Overall, both lamps are in excellent cosmetic condition… There are no chips, cracks, breaks, scratches, repairs, etc. One of the sockets is a little loose, and simple needs to be tightened. The electrical wiring looks to have been replaced at one point in time – there are no issues with the wiring – no frays, splits, exposed and/or brittle wires. There is a lot of length to the wires, just an FYI. The lamps are both in fully-functioning, working order. Vintage 1950s 1960s Ceramic Brass Lamp Atomic Era Mid Century Modern Lighting

Item: For your consideration we are presenting for sale an unusual vintage atomic era table lamp that looks like a rocket getting ready blast off into space! Circa’50s /’60s. The base is constructed of a pierced brass component the rests just below the light socket. Beneath that there is a bulbous matte black ceramic component. The ceramic piece rests atop a brass accent piece which ultimately connects to the four atomic legs of the lamp at the very bottom. The lamp has a standard on/off rotary knob switch which is located at the socket. No shade present – that’ll be left up to the purchaser to supply on their own. It’ll make a nice addition to any mid century modern home or lamp collection. The lamp stands approx. 31.25 tall (measured from the bottom of the base to the finial), and approx. 23.25 tall (measured from the bottom of the base to the light socket). The distance between the two front and two back legs is approx. 6.75, and between the front and back legs approx. Condition: Overall the lamp is in very good condition. The brass elements show a nice gentle patina that comes with age. The ceramic portion shows a small light area which looks like a superficial scuff (see photo) – it doesn’t particularly detract, but we wanted to point it out for accuracy. The electrical wiring appears to be original to the lamp, and is in good condition – no frays, splits, exposed wires, etc. The lamp is in fully-functioning, working condition. Vintage 1950s 1960s Abstract Sculptural Atomic Fish Wood Lamp Mid Century Modern

Item: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a super cool vintage sculptural carved wood atomic fish lamp. Circa’50s /’60s. The lamp features three (3) stacked wooden fish that are attached to the central vertical metal column. We are uncertain as to the maker – no tags or labels are readily visible. There is felt on the underside of the base – there may be something underneath – we didn’t attempt to remove it to check. There is no shade present – that’ll be left up to the purchaser to provide on their own. The lamp stands approx. 27 tall (measured from the bottom of the base to the top of the light socket). The three wooden fish are all roughly the same size – approx. 5.5″ wide (measured from the front of the head to the tail) x 5.5″ tall x 1 thick. The round wooden base at the bottom measures approx. Condition: The lamp is in very good, all original vintage condition – there are no chips, cracks, breaks, repairs, etc. There is some very mild surface wear, but nothing objectionable. We have not attempted to clean / polish the lamp in any way – it is being presented for sale in the condition in which it was acquired. In our opinion, it displays very well in its current state. The round metal disc that sits directly atop the round wooden base shows some signs of mild tarnishing (see photo) – again, nothing objectionable, and does not take away from the display of the lamp. The electrical wiring appears to be original to the lamp, and is in fine shape – there are no frays, splits, or exposed wires. The lamp is in fully-functioning, working order. Fantastic Pair Vintage 1950s Atomic Lamps Mid Century Modern Fiberglass Shades

Item: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a fantastic set of vintage atomic era table or bedside lamps, complete with their original clip-on fiberglass shades. Materials: Ceramic, Metal and Fiberglass. Colors: Gold, Turquoise, Beige and White. The ceramic bases are matte, with the exception of the gold accents, which are shiny. The back and front of the bases also have an overlay of random white paint splatter, as well as on the lamp shades. Just above the ceramic portions of the bases, and just below the light sockets, is a curly metal atomic accent piece (see photos). The shades are an unusual shape (see photos). They are turquoise in color, and have random white paint splatter throughout. The on/off toggle switch used to control the lamp is located at the light sockets. This is a very cool pair of lamps that’ll look great in any mid century modern setting – make them yours! With the shades attached, the lamps stand approx. 20 tall (measured at the highest points on the shades at either side). The ceramic base measures approx. 7.25″ tall x 9″ wide x 3 deep. The fiberglass shades alone each measure approx. 9.75″ tall (measured at either side) x 9″ wide x 7 deep (measured at the center across the top). The curly metal accent pieces each measure approx. 4.5″ wide x 4.5″ deep. Condition: Both lamps are in excellent, immaculate condition – there are no chips, cracks, breaks, repairs, scratches, etc. The fiberglass shade are also in great shape – no rips, holes, tears, burn marks, repairs, etc. The lacing looks to be original to the shade, and it is intact. Vintage Mid Century Modern Floor Lamp Wood Brass Atomic Era 1950s 60s Majestic

Item: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a cool vintage mid century modern atomic era floor lamp. Circa’50s /’60s. No labels are makers marks present, but we think it might have been manufactured by Majestic. The lamp consists of brass tubing with a long boomerang-shaped accent piece running up the center. The lamp has three cylindrical shades set at staggering heights at the top. The shades look to be constructed of fiberglass with a cloth-like beige material over the fiberglass (see photos). Each of the sockets has its own on/off pull chain switch which can control each socket independently from the others. It’s a handsome looking lamp that’ll make a splash in any mid century modern or atomic themed home! With the three cylindrical shades attached, the lamp stands approx. 64.5″ tall (measured from the bottom of the base to the top of the upper-most shade), 59.75″ tall (to the top of the center shade), and 54 tall (to the top of the lowest shade). The distance from the bottom of the base to each of the light sockets, highest to lowest, is 55″, 50″ and 45 high. The central wooden accent piece measures approx. The base at the very bottom of the lamp measures approx. 14″ wide x 8″ deep. Each of the cylindrical shades measures approx. 12″ tall x 4.5″ in diameter. Condition: The lamp base is in very good condition, while the shades are in fair condition. The base itself is free from chips, dings scratches, repairs, etc. The brass tubing is free from rust and oxidation. We have not attempted to clean or polish the base components in any way as we feel they display nicely in their current condition (examine the photos that accompany the listing). The shades show some rippling and waves in the fiberglass material (again, see photos). One of the upper frame rings on one of the shades is also coming loose a little. If we were purchasing the lamp for ourselves, we would use the existing shades as templates to have new ones made. That’s not to say that the existing shades don’t display okay – they’re just not perfect… We’re mentioning all of this for accuracy. The electrical wiring looks to be in very good shape – there are no frays, splits, exposed or brittle wires, etc. As with all vintage lighting, we always recommend having the wiring checked by a licensed professional prior to long-term use.
