Vintage 1950s 1960s Abstract Sculptural Atomic Fish Wood Lamp Mid Century Modern
Item: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a super cool vintage sculptural carved wood atomic fish lamp. Circa’50s /’60s. The lamp features three (3) stacked wooden fish that are attached to the central vertical metal column. We are uncertain as to the maker – no tags or labels are readily visible. There is felt on the underside of the base – there may be something underneath – we didn’t attempt to remove it to check. There is no shade present – that’ll be left up to the purchaser to provide on their own. The lamp stands approx. 27 tall (measured from the bottom of the base to the top of the light socket). The three wooden fish are all roughly the same size – approx. 5.5″ wide (measured from the front of the head to the tail) x 5.5″ tall x 1 thick. The round wooden base at the bottom measures approx. Condition: The lamp is in very good, all original vintage condition – there are no chips, cracks, breaks, repairs, etc. There is some very mild surface wear, but nothing objectionable. We have not attempted to clean / polish the lamp in any way – it is being presented for sale in the condition in which it was acquired. In our opinion, it displays very well in its current state. The round metal disc that sits directly atop the round wooden base shows some signs of mild tarnishing (see photo) – again, nothing objectionable, and does not take away from the display of the lamp. The electrical wiring appears to be original to the lamp, and is in fine shape – there are no frays, splits, or exposed wires. The lamp is in fully-functioning, working order. Rare and unique set of 3 Mid Century milk glass suspended ceiling Light Shades. Great mid century atomic graphics. Very good condition – no chips or cracks and graphics nice and bright. Each is approx 12 inches high x 6.5 inches diameter. Originally had brass bulbholders and metal caps but these did not have earths so do not comply with current regulations I have included 3 new Chrome BC bulbholders. Vintage 1950s Brass Metal Floor Lamp Fiberglass Shade Mid Century Modern Atomic
Item: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a fantastic vintage metal floor lamp with its original accompanying round fiberglass shade. The base is metal / brass. It features three (3) equally spaced black cylindrical rods that are attached to a round brass canopy at the top. They remain equally spaced, but taper inward, as they reach the lower portion of the lamp (see photos). There are three black metal atomic legs at the bottom that connect everything to the lower round brass base at the very bottom of the lamp. The fiberglass shade is round, and beige in color with random gold and black arc designs painted on it throughout (see photos); it sits on top of white milk glass diffuser shade that rests inside the socket cup. The lamp has a standard on/off rotary knob switch located just outside the socket. There is an original UL blue sticker label still attached on the outside of the socket cup. This lamp will make a great addition to any mid century modern or atomic-themed home! With the fiberglass shade attached, the lamp stands approx. 57.25″ tall x 19″ wide (the diameter of the shade). The height of the lamp socket measured from the bottom of the base is approx. The diameter of the round base at the bottom is approx. The fiberglass shade measures approx. 7.5″ tall x 19″ in diameter. Condition: Overall the lamp is in very good condition given its age. It does show some mild age appropriate wear – there are some small scattered tarnishing / discoloration marks on the bottom base (see photos), as well as a few small dings (again, see photos). They aren’t bad at all, and don’t particularly detract in our opinion. The fiberglass shade is in great shape – there are no rips, holes, tears, stains, repairs, creases, etc. The lacing appears to be original, and it is in good shape. The electrical wiring looks to be original, and it is in good condition – no frays, splits, exposed or brittle wires. The lamp is in fully-functioning, working condition. Vintage Mid Century Modern Floor Lamp Wood Brass Atomic Era 1950s 60s Majestic
Item: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a cool vintage mid century modern atomic era floor lamp. Circa’50s /’60s. No labels are makers marks present, but we think it might have been manufactured by Majestic. The lamp consists of brass tubing with a long boomerang-shaped accent piece running up the center. The lamp has three cylindrical shades set at staggering heights at the top. The shades look to be constructed of fiberglass with a cloth-like beige material over the fiberglass (see photos). Each of the sockets has its own on/off pull chain switch which can control each socket independently from the others. It’s a handsome looking lamp that’ll make a splash in any mid century modern or atomic themed home! With the three cylindrical shades attached, the lamp stands approx. 64.5″ tall (measured from the bottom of the base to the top of the upper-most shade), 59.75″ tall (to the top of the center shade), and 54 tall (to the top of the lowest shade). The distance from the bottom of the base to each of the light sockets, highest to lowest, is 55″, 50″ and 45 high. The central wooden accent piece measures approx. The base at the very bottom of the lamp measures approx. 14″ wide x 8″ deep. Each of the cylindrical shades measures approx. 12″ tall x 4.5″ in diameter. Condition: The lamp base is in very good condition, while the shades are in fair condition. The base itself is free from chips, dings scratches, repairs, etc. The brass tubing is free from rust and oxidation. We have not attempted to clean or polish the base components in any way as we feel they display nicely in their current condition (examine the photos that accompany the listing). The shades show some rippling and waves in the fiberglass material (again, see photos). One of the upper frame rings on one of the shades is also coming loose a little. If we were purchasing the lamp for ourselves, we would use the existing shades as templates to have new ones made. That’s not to say that the existing shades don’t display okay – they’re just not perfect… We’re mentioning all of this for accuracy. The electrical wiring looks to be in very good shape – there are no frays, splits, exposed or brittle wires, etc. As with all vintage lighting, we always recommend having the wiring checked by a licensed professional prior to long-term use. Cool Pair Vintage 1950s Atomic Era Biomorphic Ceramic Lamps Mid Century Modern
Item: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a crazy cool pair of unique biomorphic designed ceramic table lamps. Circa’50s /’60s. Both the back side and front side of the lamps show the same design (see photos). It will be left up to the purchaser to provide their own shades – there are currently none present. They’ll make a great addition to any mid century modern interior dwelling! The lamp stands approx. 23.5 tall (measured from the bottom of the base to the top of the harp), and approx. 15.5 tall (measured to the top of the light socket). The ceramic portion of the lamp base measures approx. 12.75″ tall x 7″ wide x 5 deep (at their maximum depth towards the bottom of the base). Condition: Overall, both lamps are in excellent cosmetic condition… There are no chips, cracks, breaks, scratches, repairs, etc. One of the sockets is a little loose, and simple needs to be tightened. The electrical wiring looks to have been replaced at one point in time – there are no issues with the wiring – no frays, splits, exposed and/or brittle wires. This is a truly rare find. Mid Century Modern Atomic Age Cowhide Shade 1950’s Signed Table Lamp. I love the shape of the shade and the way it works so well with the base. The bottom of the shade measures 15″ x 9 1/4″. The lamp is 18 tall. The top is loose and needs to be tightened and will lean to one side otherwise. The lamp was propped up during the pictures.
