Vintage Ceiling Light Large Atomic Sputnik Flying Saucer Mid 20th C. White Glass
A Large Vintage Glass Atomic Era Ceiling Light Pendant. The light has an original Round Flying Saucer shaped Lampshade with a gently sloped top and bottom – The colour white with hand applied Black Atomic Era Sputnik decorations. The glass is heavy and well made with a Satin finish. The long length of new earthed wiring is held in position by a Modern cord grip. The bulb holder and wiring are modern and earthed. The light has modern simple replacement brass ceiling rose with cord grip. Please see my images for the best details. When lit the Atomic Era decorations stand out really well. Shade age is late 1950’s – 1960’s. Max drop is 160 Cm – Shade Diameter is 29 Cm – Pendant height 20 Cm. Good, the light works well and is free of damage. A couple of very small marks from age along with marks and imperfections in the glass and decoration from manufacture. One small manufacturing mark to the rim. Bulb holder &Wiring are new & earthed. Mid 20TH Teak Century Coffee Table occasional Table. From a large country house, Bought from new & its been used and well looked after all of its life. This is a lovely table of a mid size.. Simply made But – A GREAT LOOK. All in all in excellent order. You dont see many in this conditiion. With some minor normal aged marks/wear/rubs/light screw service rust All stands well and strong with no major damage to the metal work. And dates from around 1960’s/80’s. Lovely to see all the metal white end plugs still attached. These do go missing. A great looking decorative item. A GREAT SPUTNIK – ATOMIC LOOK!!!!!!! With fantastic colour and patina. It stands very well and true on good flat floors. Plant, lamp, magazines, cups. Cleaned & waxed only. 42cm high & 76cm wide & 30cm deep. And not been touched up/repaired or restored (unless stated). Table Lamp Large & Original Ceramic Atomic Era Mid 20th Century 60s Sputnik
A Large Vintage Ceramic Atomic Era Table Lamp. The lamp has a great Atomic decoration, made from Heavy ceramics fitted to a solid wooden base. The background colour is Pale cream with a painted spun finish which has dark low lights , the lamp has blue and black linear decorations and dark red lava drip glazed Dot detailing. An unusual period piece with a Northern European Scandi feel in its design. The lamp has a new modern earthed BC bulb holder and modern earthed wiring with an in-line switch for operation. The lamp has modern cable protection fitted & has a felt base under. Please see my images for the best details. Lamp age is late 1950’s – 1960s. A large lamp – Overall Height is 49.5 Cm – Max Diameter is 18 Cm. Condition is very good for age, the lamp works well. Small tarnish marks from age to the original metal parts. Bulb holder &Wiring are new. The lamp works perfectly. The ceramic part of the lamp is free of damage and has minor marks from the handmade & hand finished nature.
