1950s Large Wire Frame Atomic Midcentury 8×10 Art Deco Retro Abstract Metal
This is very rare mid-century frame made of metal wire. It measures a giant 16 x 16″ and is about 5 1/2″ deep. The frame holds an 8 x 10 photo. There is a cardboard back and glass held by two bend tabs under edge. It is in very good condition with some wear/chips to paint and aging/edge wear to cardboard. The bent wires are welded to frame and top piece. They are stacked at intersection without welding. There are no broken welds. Please see photos for scale and exact condition. We can provide more info and photos as needed. This incredible, sculptural, abstract frame has been in our collection for over 30 years. We originally thought it may have been a store display piece but we once saw a small standard 5×7 one so it was likely intended for a moderne home. The designer is unknown, but it is reminiscent of metalwork by Frederick Weinberg, Tony Paul, Alexander Calder, and other midcentury designers.

Item: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a unique vintage seascape / school of wish wire sculpture. Has a brutalist feel to it. Features three atomic wire fish swimming around an aquatic plant that is popping through the surface of the water (the water is portrayed by four wire rings midway up the sculpture). The wire elements are all attached to a drift wood base (see photos). It’s unique item that’ll be certain to make a splash in any modern setting. 22.5″ tall x 12″ wide. PAIR Mid Century Atomic Fiberglass Fabric Pinch Pleats Curtain Panels Abstract. Measurements: Each panels is 23″ x 77″ : I measured them both, the second one maybe an inch longer. These are vintage so I’m unsure who made these, just want to point out. Condition: These are nice and heavy. The pinch pleats have been reinforced with additional fabric and there are weights sewn in the bottom corners to keep them down and straight when hung. Please review all photos as they are the best indicator of condition. The fabric has a shiny backside like fiberglass curtains but these seem much heavy. I’m unsure of the fabric type.

Vintage Mid Century Abstract curtains 2 panels 1950s 1960s atomic Eames era
Vintage 1 pair (2 panels) Mid Century abstract curtains, simple loop at top, I think that’s a rod pocket, simple rough hem at bottom. The back side of the hem has fraying, doesn’t show so probably doesn’t matter. One panels has a few light smudges, see photos, and is it about 1/2 longer than the other one. The fabric is a synthetic, possibly rayon fabric. 68 or 67 1/2″ long, both are 36″ wide.

The materials has a slight texture throughout, and we’d say it’s a medium weight material. Colors: Browns, Beige, Black. There is a lot of material here – it can be re-used as a curtain, or perhaps you have other crafting needs for it. Whatever the case, there’s plenty to work with! 14′ 13″ (5.03 yards) wide x 51″ tall. It is constructed of 4 panels carefully sewn together at 45 intervals. There is a 5″ hem running the span of the bottom, and each of the two sides has a 1″ hem in place. Condition: Overall the material is in very good condition. There are no rips, holes, tears, repairs, funky odors, dry rot, etc. There are creases and fold marks, and a few light scattered moisture marks. Overall, the colors appear to be nice throughout. The material has no lining on the reverse side. We have not attempted to clean or launder the material in any way – it is being presented for sale in the exact condition in which it was acquired – the moisture marks should come out with a gentle laundering. We do not know if the previous owners had pets, or if they were smokers. Based on our examination of the fabric, neither appears to be the case, but we cannot guarantee that for certain.
