Vintage 1950s 1960s Abstract Sculptural Atomic Fish Wood Lamp Mid Century Modern
Item: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a super cool vintage sculptural carved wood atomic fish lamp. Circa’50s /’60s. The lamp features three (3) stacked wooden fish that are attached to the central vertical metal column. We are uncertain as to the maker – no tags or labels are readily visible. There is felt on the underside of the base – there may be something underneath – we didn’t attempt to remove it to check. There is no shade present – that’ll be left up to the purchaser to provide on their own. The lamp stands approx. 27 tall (measured from the bottom of the base to the top of the light socket). The three wooden fish are all roughly the same size – approx. 5.5″ wide (measured from the front of the head to the tail) x 5.5″ tall x 1 thick. The round wooden base at the bottom measures approx. Condition: The lamp is in very good, all original vintage condition – there are no chips, cracks, breaks, repairs, etc. There is some very mild surface wear, but nothing objectionable. We have not attempted to clean / polish the lamp in any way – it is being presented for sale in the condition in which it was acquired. In our opinion, it displays very well in its current state. The round metal disc that sits directly atop the round wooden base shows some signs of mild tarnishing (see photo) – again, nothing objectionable, and does not take away from the display of the lamp. The electrical wiring appears to be original to the lamp, and is in fine shape – there are no frays, splits, or exposed wires. The lamp is in fully-functioning, working order. Item: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a unique vintage ceramic table lamp with double-sided raised abstract / biomorphic shapes. Circa’50s /’60s. The ceramic portion of the base rests atop a small square wood base, which is support by four (4) small gold painted atomic ball feet. There is also a slightly larger atomic ball accent between the top of the ceramic base and the light socket. The socket has a standard rotary turn knob switch which is used to turn the lamp on/off. There are no signatures or maker’s marks present. Also, there is no shade present with this lamp – that’ll be left up to the winning purchaser to provide on their own. The lamp stands approx. The ceramic portion of the base measures 15″ tall x 5″ wide x 5 deep. Each of the four small gold atomic ball feet measures approx. 0.5 in diameter. Item: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a wild pair of rare vintage abstract sculptural table lamps. We are uncertain as to the maker – no marks present that we have been able to find. There is green felt adhered to the underside of each of the bases. These lamps have a very nice solid weight to them. They’ll look fantastic in any modern interior setting! Each lamp stands approx. 20.25 tall measured from the bottom of the base to the top of the light socket. The sculptural components of each lamp measure approx. The round metal base measures approx. Condition: Both lamps are in very good condition – no chips, cracks, breaks, repairs, etc. Just being mentioned for accuracy. The electrical wiring on both lamps is in very good condition – there are no frays, splits, exposed or brittle wires. Both lamps are in fully-functioning, working order.
