A congruency of pattern and color that seem to be made for Miami Beach. Having crawled through abandoned and still furnished Miami hotels in the 80’s and 90’s before the renaissance of the 90’s and 21st century…. This relic from the 50’s has never been used and is highly collectible… A deep dark charcoal gray ground with flamingo pink… 24 inches wide x 27 inches long. I have another one also available… One is signed “Guaranteed Vat Prints” and the other its unsigned. But who wants to take a return right? This offering is for ONE former drapery panel that has been deconstructed… A mid century iconic barkcloth… Miami Beach style is alive and well in this iconic pattern and colorway… It’s as if this fabric were designed for the Miami Beach architecture of the hotels during the mid century… A style and vibe influenced heavily by shapes and color that together sing in unison a song that is like no other…. Meant to tug heart strings and open minds in a way that allowed the love of mid century modernism to sink in as it was sweeping the nation… This fabric is from the early 50’s to 1957… A ecru off creamy beige ground… Darkest teal turquoise emerald green… Darkest nearly black chocolate bordering eggplant… Yes it truly is… A nice nubby barkcloth… While it started its life as a drapery panel it remains strong… One for the serious modernist collector. I have another one also available… One is signed “Roomaker Fabric Guaranteed to be Vat Prints”… And the other is not signed. Maybe about an inch… But truly the body of this feels more unused. This offering is for ONE ready to hang very cool drapery panel… Ready to add some space age ATOMIC bling to any space by merely hanging them up… I have 4 available… A fab textured cotton barkcloth… With scrabble board abstract squares and oblong spherical shapes indicative of the mid century atomic era they were born some 60 years ago. And black on a clean white ground that looks pretty unused. There is a slight fold line down center from where it was folded on the bolt before it was made into draperies. A definite treat for any mid century enthusiast with an eye for the good stuff. Expect fabulous and mint. Measures 25 inches at pleats… 45 inches at bottom width and 80 inches long with a 6 inch hem.
