Cool Pair Vintage 1950s Atomic Era Biomorphic Ceramic Lamps Mid Century Modern

Item: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a crazy cool pair of unique biomorphic designed ceramic table lamps. Circa’50s /’60s. Both the back side and front side of the lamps show the same design (see photos). It will be left up to the purchaser to provide their own shades – there are currently none present. They’ll make a great addition to any mid century modern interior dwelling! The lamp stands approx. 23.5 tall (measured from the bottom of the base to the top of the harp), and approx. 15.5 tall (measured to the top of the light socket). The ceramic portion of the lamp base measures approx. 12.75″ tall x 7″ wide x 5 deep (at their maximum depth towards the bottom of the base). Condition: Overall, both lamps are in excellent cosmetic condition… There are no chips, cracks, breaks, scratches, repairs, etc. One of the sockets is a little loose, and simple needs to be tightened. The electrical wiring looks to have been replaced at one point in time – there are no issues with the wiring – no frays, splits, exposed and/or brittle wires. There is a lot of length to the wires, just an FYI. The lamps are both in fully-functioning, working order. Super Cool Vintage 50s Ceramic Lamp Fiberglass Shade Mid Century Modern Atomic

Item: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a super cool vintage atomic era ceramic table lamp complete with its original trapezoidal-shaped fiberglass lamp shade. Circa’50s /’60s. The ceramic base is brown in color with scattered white accents (see photos). The base also has a striated texture throughout. The fiberglass shade is beige in color, as is typical from lamps of this era, and it has black, gold and white randoms painted arcs on it throughout. The finial for the lamp is an amber colored glass ball, and we are assuming that it is original to the lamp as well. We are uncertain as to the maker – there are no marks, labels, or tags present. This lamp will make a great addition to any mid century modern or atomic-themed home! With the shade attached, the lamp stands approx. The ceramic alone measures approx. 14.5″ tall x 12″ wide x 5.75 deep. The shade alone measures approx. 7″ tall x 13″ wide x 8 deep. Condition: The lamp is in very good condition for its age. The ceramic base is free from chips, cracks, breaks, repairs, etc. The fiberglass shade is free from rips, holes, tears, repairs, burn marks, etc. All of the lacing is intact. The shade shows light traces of wear that are consistent with age and use. The bottom edge of the fiberglass material shows very mild discoloration – our guess is it should come out with a gentle washing. We have not attempted to try to clean it any way as it is minor and doesn’t particularly interfere with any thing. The electrical wiring appears to be original to the lamp, and is in good shape – there are no frays, splits, exposed or brittle wires, etc. As with all vintage lighting, we always recommend having the wiring checked by a licensed professional prior to long-term use. Item: For your consideration we are presenting for sale an unusual vintage atomic era table lamp that looks like a rocket getting ready blast off into space! Circa’50s /’60s. The base is constructed of a pierced brass component the rests just below the light socket. Beneath that there is a bulbous matte black ceramic component. The ceramic piece rests atop a brass accent piece which ultimately connects to the four atomic legs of the lamp at the very bottom. The lamp has a standard on/off rotary knob switch which is located at the socket. No shade present – that’ll be left up to the purchaser to supply on their own. It’ll make a nice addition to any mid century modern home or lamp collection. The lamp stands approx. 31.25 tall (measured from the bottom of the base to the finial), and approx. 23.25 tall (measured from the bottom of the base to the light socket). The distance between the two front and two back legs is approx. 6.75, and between the front and back legs approx. Condition: Overall the lamp is in very good condition. The brass elements show a nice gentle patina that comes with age. The ceramic portion shows a small light area which looks like a superficial scuff (see photo) – it doesn’t particularly detract, but we wanted to point it out for accuracy. The electrical wiring appears to be original to the lamp, and is in good condition – no frays, splits, exposed wires, etc. The lamp is in fully-functioning, working condition.
