Item: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a super cool atomic era table lamp complete with its original double tiered fiberglass shade. Circa’50s /’60s. Manufactured by Deena China. Materials: Lamp base is brass, ceramic (china). The shade is fiberglass. The shade is green in color, and it has black and gold paint brush stokes throughout the exterior surface. The lamp operates with a standard rotary knob switch that is located at the socket. It’ll make a fabulous addition to any mid century modern interior! PLEASE NOTE : We have a second matching lamp that we will be listing separately once this one sells. If you are the winning purchaser to this lamp, and you are in the market for a second, please message us at the close of the listing. Measurements: With the shade attached, the lamp stands approx. 34″ tall (measured from the bottom of the base to the top of the finial) x 17″ wide x 17 deep. The distance from the bottom of the base to the light socket is approx. The art pottery portion of the base alone measures approx. 11″ tall x 4″ wide x 4 deep. The round brown metal base at the bottom of the lamp measures approx. 6.25 in diameter. The double tier fiberglass shade measures approx. 11 tall, with the smaller upper tier measuring approx. 13″ across the top opening, and it tapers down to 8″ across the bottom opening of the tier. The lower tier is uniform in diameter, and it measures approx. Condition: The lamp is in good condition for its age, but it is not perfect. With a little TLC, it could be fixed up quite nicely. With respect to the base, the ceramic portion is in excellent condition – there are no chips, cracks, breaks, scratches, repairs, etc. The brass components show signs of tarnishing, most noticeably on the round brass base at the bottom. This can easily be swapped out for a new base, or it can be painted. It doesn’t appear to have any dents or dings on it – just discoloration. As for the shade, it’s in overall decent shape, but has a few notable issues. First off, the smaller upper tier has a hole and a puncture in it (see arial photo provided). Luckily, it can only really be seen if you are looking at the shade from above. When looking head-on at the shade, the hole and puncture are hidden from view because they are blocked by the lower tier. In addition to that, some of the lacing is missing; however, the holes are still intact. The lacing can easily be replaced as the holes it goes through have not been compromised. The shade could use a gentle cleaning – we have not done anything in an attempt to clean and/or polish the lamp – it is being presented for sale in the exact condition in which it was acquired. The electrical wiring appears to be original, and is in good shape – no frays, splits, exposed and/or brittle wires. While the lamp is in fully-functioning, working condition, we always will recommend having a licensed professional inspect the item prior to long-term use. Gorgeous 1950s ceramic table lamp in a tan matte glaze with all over black and ivory speckling, further detailed with ivory and gold brushed accents. I believe this to be made by Leslie China Co. Shade is in good vintage condition with some imperfections. There are a couple of extra holes for the lacing on the lower tier. Lower ring of the top tier has some damage to the fiberglass at the lacing holes in 2 spots and it appears that the top tier was re-laced to the lower tier using a thin yellow green ribbon. The black lacing is intact and tight. There appears to be a rust spot on the inside seam near the bottom of the top tier. Shade frame is rusty. Please inspect pics as I’ve documented these issues there. Despite these minor imperfections the lamp shade displays very well for its age. Approximate lamp size:base stands 16″ tall and 28″ tall with shade8″ width5.25″ depth. Lamp shade:19″ diameter at its widest and 10″ tall.
