Crazy Quilt 50s Mid Century Spectrum Atomic Miami Beach Barkcloth Vintage Fabric
There were fabulous textiles and then there were first rate unadulterated patterns that were catapulted above the rest… These atomic prints being at the top of the chain of most revered and well sought after… This offering is for O. NE YARD x 48 inches wide of unused unwashed fantastical rare and incredible textured barkcloth… A pattern and colorway right out of Miami’s South Beach circa 1952. A patternry of atomic mid century embodying a quilted mod shapely fabric that is well above the rest. A white ground with flamingo pink… Pastel jadeite and aqua blue greens… With gold metallic and black accents. Signed “A Spectrum Original Seal of Quality Fast Color Print”… Which is a very different signature than the Spectrum signatures of the egrets and butterfly prints from the 30’s and early 40’s… This signature more modern and edgy… If you treasure the best of the best and can’t search the world through and through… But who wants to take a return right?
