Item: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a nice vintage double tiered atomic era fiberglass lamp shade. Circa’50s /’60s. The fiberglass material is a beige color, and it has random squiggly fibrous filaments running throughout it (see photos). Uncertain as to the company that manufactured it. Measurements: The shade is approx. The upper, smaller tier measures approx. 13 in diameter, while the lower, larger tier measures approx. Condition: The shade is in very good condition for its age – there are no rips, holes, tears, creases, burn marks, etc. It looks to have been very well cared for over the years by its previous owners. We have not attempted to clean the shade in any manner – it is being presented for sale in the exact condition in which it was acquired. The lacing appears to be intact all the way around, so it does not need to be re-laced. The upper tier appears to have what looks like a small grommet or something of the sorts on the reverse side by the seam – looks to be intentional, perhaps to add extra support to the seamed seal, but we’re not 100% certain as we’ve never seen that before. Its on the reverse side and doesn’t appear to affect anything in terms of its visibility (it’s really small – see photos). Please ask them and we will respond back to you in a timely manner. Part that affixes to wall about 4.5 x 4.5. PLEASE NOTE : the glass saucer may have small imperfections, little chigger bites around rim. Please carefully examine pictures.
