Here is a pair of truly remarkable mid century barkcloth drapery or curtain panels! Each unlined drape measures 65″ long and 25 1/2″ wide. They have openings for your curtain rods with narrow hems all around. Sorry my photos aren’t better; overcast skies make good natural light photos hard to capture! The close ups are taken near a window and best show the fabulous design and colors! Ground is white with amazing gray, taupe and black orbits with red squiggles! Atomic design bark cloth fabric from the late 1940s or 1950s. 80 inches long by 61 inches wide. A double seam runs the length of the 80 inches, it’s 17 inches from the edge. A few minor issues. Such as extremely tiny rust spots here and there. There are 3 openings which can be easily repaired. Some small areas of very light stains that are barely noticeable. 2 small spots on the fabric that seem to be wax like. Last photo shows the reverse side of the cloth. The background color appears a greenish tone in the photos, but it is actually ivory. Please excuse the uneven lighting. I will be weeding my barkcloth garden in the coming months… Downsizing my collection and trying to make it manageable so I can keep it all in 3 bedrooms!! So keep an eye out for some great bargains on fabulous barkcloth! A thick and nubby 1950’s mid century pattern that boasts a Atomic Ranch vibe that is sure to add some pizazz to your mid mod pad… These panels all have a all over fading that is even and consistent and if I didn’t know any better I’d think they were made to look this way… Nonetheless its a fab print and offered at a great deal! A muted cream ground with a cocoa possibly gold metallic and palest yellow mixed in… Atomic geometric designs in red… These draperies are strong and structurally are perfect… These are not lined… Even the back sides are in excellent shape. Can you imagine that! Measures 26 at top pleats… 40 inches wide at bottom width and 82 inches long… Washed to freshen and they held up great… Smell great and again the backs tell the whole story… The backs have no sun lines or evidence of sun at all… Which is amazing and why I wonder if this wasn’t maybe meant to look faded… A sweet deal for a fabulous find.
