Unusual Vintage 50s Plaster Lamp Fiberglass Shade Atomic Era Mid Century Modern
Item: For your consideration we are presenting for sale an amazing vintage plaster table lamp with its original accompanying two-tier fiberglass shade. The base has a rather organic, other worldly look to it. The lamp has two different lights – one comes from the main socket, and then there is a smaller, Christmas-style bulb that is embedded into the plaster base. The lamp has an on/off rotary knob switch that is embedded into the bottom of the base. It allows for three-way functionality. One twist will light up the small bulb on its own. A second twist will light up the main bulb on its own. And a third twist will allow both to be lit up together. We are uncertain as to the maker – no signatures or labels were detected. This is a fantastic lamp that’ll make a great addition to any mcm interior setting! With the fiberglass shade attached, the lamp stands approx. The plaster base alone measures approx. 19″ tall x 10″ wide (measured at the bottom of the base) x 5.25 deep (measured at the bottom of the base). The distance from the bottom of the base to the light socket is approx. The double tiered fiberglass shade measures approx. 12 tall, with the upper tier being approx. 15.5″ wide x 12″ deep, and the lower tier being approx. 20″ wide x 12″ deep. Condition: With the exception of one small, old stable chip on the plaster base, the lamp is in exceptionally good and clean condition. The chip can easily be filled in or just left alone. The fiberglass shade is in great shape as well – no burns, creases, breaks, repairs, punctures, etc. All of the lacing appear to be original, and it is intact. The electrical wiring appears to be original to the lamp, and it is free from having any issues – no frays, splits, exposed and/or brittle wires. The lamp is in fully-functioning, working order. Vintage 1950s Ceramic Metal Lamp Fiberglass Shade Mid Century Modern Light AS-IS
Item: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a super cool vintage ceramic and metal atomic era table lamp with its accompanying original fiberglass shade. The base is a maroon color, and below it hangs a round, spherical gold metal ball. The shade is fiberglass, and is beige in color with gold circles (see photos). The shade design mimics the round atomic ball at the bottom of the base. We are uncertain as to the maker – there are no labels, tags or otherwise present. Measurements: With the fiberglass shade attached, the lamp stands approx. The distance from the bottom of the base to the light socket is approx. The ceramic base alone measures approx. 8.25″ tall x 11″ wide x 4.25 deep. The round spherical metal ball that hangs under the ceramic base measures approx. The fiberglass shade measures approx. 16″ tall x 9″ in diameter (top opening) x 10.5 in diameter (bottom opening). Condition: The lamp is in okay condition, but does have cosmetic flaws, all of which we think are fixable – we just. Have the time presently to take on any projects. Are crack lines and a few small shallow chips in the ceramic (see all photos). These look like stress cracks to us. Everything appears to be stable – it. Look as though someone tried repairing and gluing the ceramic back together. Our guess is the lamp probably sustained a bang. It results in stress cracks. We think the small shallow chips can be filled in, everything sanded down, and then a fresh coat of paint can be applied – this would. Remedy the condition issue. Again, it’s doable if you have the time and are looking for a project. The only other thing that we can see that is wrong is the plug on. Of the wire needs to be replaced – it currently has. Black tape wrapped around it. In it’s current state, it still functions, but we definitely recommend having a licensed professional inspect it before long-term use. As for the fiberglass shade, it’s in great shape – no rips, holes, tears, burn marks, repairs, etc. The lacing appears to be original, and it is intact. This lamp is b. Vintage 50s 60s Pink Brass Metal Atomic Lamp Mid Century Modern Fiberglass Shade
Item: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a vintage atomic era table with its original accompanying double-tier fiberglass shade. Circa’50s /’60s. The lamp base is a pink ceramic, and just above that there is a brass metal atomic accent piece between it and the light socket. The fiberglass shade is double-tiered, and pinkish in color with curly fibrous filaments randomly scattered throughout. There is a standard on/off rotary knob switch that is located by the light socket. With the shade attached, the lamp stands approx. The distance measured from the bottom of the base to the light socket is approx. The atomic brass accent piece measures approx. 8″ tall x 6″ wide x 6 deep. The double-tier fiberglass shade measures approx. The upper, small tier measures approx. 13 in diameter, and the larger, lower tier is approx. Condition: Overall the lamp is in very good condition for its age – there are no chips, cracks, breaks, repairs, etc. There is a small amount of tarnishing to the lower edge of the base at the very bottom (see photos) – we did not attempt to clean or polish this in any manner. The fiberglass shade is free from rips, holes, tears, creases, burns, etc. The lacing is old and brittle in spots. While it is together for the most part, there are some areas where the lacing is coming undone (not the holes that the lacing goes through). If desired, it can easily be re-laced, and we’d be happy to do this for the purchaser at no extra charge. This didn’t bother us, so we left it as it was acquired. The electrical wiring appears to be original to the lamp, with no visible issues – no frays, splits, exposed or brittle wires. The lamp is in fully-functioning, working order. Vintage 50s REGAL Ceramic Lamp Fiberglass Shades Mid Century Modern Atomic Era
Item: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a fabulous vintage ceramic table lamp with its original accompanying fiberglass shades. Manufactured by Regal Lamps (still retains its original foil label on the reverse side of the base). The base is turquoise in color, and it has a ribbed appearance. Stemming from the top of the ceramic base are two cylindrical brass arms, each stretching in opposite directions. The shades are a green fiberglass with random black and gold arc designs throughout. They are pyramidal in shape, and squared off at the bottom. The shades are of the clip-on variety, and they attach directly to the bulb. Each of the sockets can be lit independently of the other as they each have their own on/off toggle switch. This lamp will make a fantastic addition to any mid century modern setting! With the shades attached, the lamp stands approx. 23.5″ tall x 19.5″ wide. The ceramic base measures approx. 8″ tall x 3.5″ wide (at its widest point where it rests atop the round brass base at the bottom). The shades each measure 6″ tall x 7.5″ wide x 7.5 deep. The round brass base measures approx. 5.75 in diameter. Condition: The lamp appears to be in excellent condition. Vintage 50s Brass Lamp Fiberglass Shades Mid Century Modern Atomic Era Lighting
Item: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a vintage atomic era table lamp that dates back to the 1950s. Reminds us of a trident. The body of the lamp is brass, and it contains three fiberglass shades that are set at slightly different heights. They are set in place by being threaded to the exterior of the light sockets. The shades are each angled at the top (see photos). They are beige in color, and each has black and gold brush stroke patterns on them. The base of the lamp contains a rotary knob switch which allows for three-way functionality: either one shade can be lit, or with a second twist the other two shades, and a third twist allows for all three to light up at once. We are uncertain as to the maker as the lamp does not appear to be marked. A fabulous lamp that’ll make a welcome addition to any mid century modern interior setting! The lamp stands approx. 33″ tall to the top of the uppermost shade, 31″ to the top of the middle shade, and 29 to the top of the lowest shade. With the shades attached, the lamp measures approx. The round brass base measures approx. Condition: Overall the lamp is in good vintage condition. The brass rods show a nice patina that is commensurate with age. The round metal brass base shows signs of tarnishing throughout (see photos) – we have not attempted to clean or polish them lamp in any manner. Vintage 50s Brass Wood MAJESTIC LAMP Fiberglass Shade Mid Century Modern Atomic
Item: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a vintage Majestic table lamp with its original accompanying fiberglass shade. The lamp takes on an atomic / floral or tree-like appearance. Materials: Wood, Brass, Fiberglass. The lamp has a total of six (6) sockets: there are two (2) main sockets at the top, and four (4) smaller sockets within each of the brass cups. The on/off rotary knob switch is located embedded in the wavy wooden base at the bottom. The lamp has three-way functionality… With one simple twist the two main light sockets will light up. With a second twist, those will shut off and just the four smaller bulbs will illuminate. And finally, with a third twist, all six sockets can light up together. As is characteristic with Majestic lamps, this lamp still retains its original old green felt on the underside of the base. We did not attempt to remove or disrupt it in any way, so there could very well still be a Majestic label hanging out under there. This lamp will make an excellent addition to any mid century modern interior. With the fiberglass shade attached, the lamp stands approx. 30 tall measured from the bottom of the base to the top of the finial. The wavy rectangular base measures approx. 15.5″ wide x 5″ deep x 2.25 tall. The fiberglass shade measures approx. 22″ wide x 9.25″ deep x 7 tall. The distance from the bottom of the base to the two main light sockets is approx. The four smaller light sockets measure approx. 19″ on each side for the higher ones (measured from the bottom of the base), and 12″ on each side for the lower ones (measured from the bottom of the base). Condition: With the exception to paint loss and some small scattered paint flecks on the wavy wooden base at the bottom, the lamp is in great condition. It can very easily be repainted, but we decided to just leave it in the condition in which it was acquired. The brass shows a nice patina that is commensurate with age. WOW! Vintage 50s Chalkware Lamp Fiberglass Shade Mid Century Modern Atomic Era
Item: For your consideration we are presenting for sale an incredibly cool vintage chalkware table lamp complete with its original double-tier fiberglass shade and atomic finial. The base is constructed of chalkware, and is curvy like a snake. The front and back surfaces are textured in beige and gold, while the remainder of the chalkware body is turquoise in color, with the exception of the base, which is black. The double-tier fiberglass shade is beige on the larger tier, and turquoise with black and gold accents on the smaller upper tier. The finial is brass and is atomic in design. The lamp has a standard on/off rotary switch located at the socket which is used to turn the lamp on/off. We are uncertain as to the maker. It’s a definite statement piece that’ll make a splash in any mid century modern interior setting! With the double-tier fiberglass shade attached, the lamp stands approx. 35.25 tall (measured from the bottom of the base to the top of the atomic finial). The distance from the bottom of the base to the light socket is approx. The chalkware portion of the lamp measures approx. 21.5″ tall x 10″ wide (measured at the bottom of the base) x 5.25 deep. The double-tier fiberglass shade measures approx. 8″ tall x 18″ in diameter (measured across the top tier) x 20 in diameter (measured across the bottom tier). Condition: Given it’s age, we’d say the lamp is in very good condition with only minor cosmetic wear… There are no major chips, cracks, breaks, repairs, etc. The black portion of the base at the bottom shows a few edge paint flecks. Also, the top surface looks like the black coloration is worn on both sides – a fresh application of black paint will remedy that, or it can just be left alone – we chose to leave it in the condition in which it was acquired. The fiberglass shade is also in great shape – no rips, holes, tears, burn marks, repairs, etc. The lacing looks to be original to the shade, and it is intact. The electrical wiring looks as though it was probably replaced at one point in time – it’s in very good shape – there are no frays, splits, exposed or brittle wires, etc. As with all vintage lighting, we always recommend having the wiring checked by a licensed professional prior to long-term use. Vintage 50s Brass Wood MAJESTIC LAMP Fiberglass Shade Mid Century Modern Atomic
Item: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a vintage Majestic table lamp with its original accompanying fiberglass shade. The lamp takes on an atomic / floral or tree-like appearance. Materials: Wood, Brass, Fiberglass. The lamp has a total of six (6) sockets: there are two (2) main sockets at the top, and four (4) smaller sockets within each of the brass cups. The on/off rotary knob switch is located embedded in the wavy wooden base at the bottom. The lamp has three-way functionality… With one simple twist the two main light sockets will light up. With a second twist, those will shut off and just the four smaller bulbs will illuminate. And finally, with a third twist, all six sockets can light up together. As is characteristic with Majestic lamps, this lamp still retains its original old green felt on the underside of the base. We did not attempt to remove or disrupt it in any way, so there could very well still be a Majestic label hanging out under there. This lamp will make an excellent addition to any mid century modern interior. With the fiberglass shade attached, the lamp stands approx. 30 tall measured from the bottom of the base to the top of the finial. The wavy rectangular base measures approx. 15.5″ wide x 5″ deep x 2.25 tall. The fiberglass shade measures approx. 22″ wide x 9.25″ deep x 7 tall. The distance from the bottom of the base to the two main light sockets is approx. The four smaller light sockets measure approx. 19″ on each side for the higher ones (measured from the bottom of the base), and 12″ on each side for the lower ones (measured from the bottom of the base). Condition: With the exception to paint loss and some small scattered paint flecks on the wavy wooden base at the bottom, the lamp is in great condition. It can very easily be repainted, but we decided to just leave it in the condition in which it was acquired. The brass shows a nice patina that is commensurate with age. There is no rust, oxidations, etc. There are no chips, cracks, breaks, repairs, etc. The fiberglass shade is also in great shape – no holes, tears, punctures, burn marks, etc. The lacing appears to be original, and it is intact. All six (6) sockets are in working order -the lamp is in fully-functioning, working order.
