Vintage 60s Danish Teak Wood Floor Lamp Cylinder Shade Mid Century Modern Light
Item: For your consideration we are presenting for sale an amazing vintage sculptural danish floor lamp with its original accompanying cylindrical shade. The base is constructed of teak wood, and the shade is fiberglass on the interior, and it has a textile outer covering (see photos). The lamp has a metal pull chain switch located at the socket. The lamp has three different output intensities in terms of brightness. We are uncertain as to the maker. There is a piece of green felt along the underside of the base – we didn’t attempt to remove it, but it does need to be replaced. This lamp will look great in any mid century modern or danish modern interior setting! The lamp stands approx. 52″ tall x 7.5″ wider x 7.5 deep. The sculptural wood portion of the base, including the round base at the bottom, measures approx. The cylindrical shade measures approx. 18″ tall x 7.25″ in diameter. The round wooden base at the bottom measures approx. Condition: The lamp is in great shape – there are no chips, cracks, breaks, repairs, etc. The wood shows only light traces of wear commensurate with age and use – nothing bad. All-in-all, it’s been very well cared for by its previous owners. The shade is in great shape as well – no rips, holes, tears, burn marks, etc. The electrical wiring appears to be original, and is in good condition – no frays, splits, exposed wires, etc. The lamp is in fully-functioning, working condition. Vintage POLE FLOOR LAMP mid century modern light atomic triple gerald thurston
VINTAGE POLE FLOOR LAMP. Three way lights with original metal bullet / cone shades. Tested and works great. The shades swivel in different directions. Original yellow paint has surface wear and tarnish, and has no dings or cracks. Lamp dates to the 1950s. One pointed finial post has its tact weld broken away from center ring. Mid Century RARE Atomic 1950s SUPER RARE European Artists Palette Inspired Tripod Floor Lamp Drinks Table. Fabulous and highly sculptural large floor light inspired by an artist’s palette. Made from obeche wood and brass tube. The wood has been varnished, ebonized and painted. Item: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a cool vintage metal and wood adjustable atomic era floor lamp. Circa’50s /’60s. The lamp features three pierced conical shades that can pivot / rotate at their connection points. Each of the metal shades is adorned with a wood accent piece along the top surface (see photos). The lamp has three-way functionality: one turn of the rotary knob switch allows the top and bottom shades to light up together, another turn of the switch will allow the middle shade to light up on its own, and a final turn will light up all three shades at the same time. The on/off rotary knob switch is located on the vertical column (see photo). Measurements: The lamp stands approx. 62.25 tall measured from the bottom of the base to the top of the vertical bar. Each shade measures approx. 10 long (measured from the top of the wooden accent to the edge of the shade opening at the bottom). The round metal base at the bottom of the lamp measures approx. Condition: There are no breaks, repairs, etc. The lamp is in good condition for its age, but it does have some cosmetic issues that we will mention. First off, the shades shows loss of the gold coloration in areas. The metal underneath is a silver color, and it shows in those areas (see photos). This can easily be remedied with a fresh coat of paint, or it can be left alone. We chose to leave it in the condition in which it was acquired. The wooden accent pieces at the tops of each of the shades could use a gentle polishing, but they do display fine as they are. The round metal base at the bottom of the lamp shows signs of tarnishing, mainly around the edges (see photo). Again, we chose to leave it as it was acquired, but it can easily be repainted, if desired. Each of the shades pivots / turns well at their connection points.
