This rare vintage bronze belt buckle features an iconic mid-century modern design of Jack Boyd, a renowned San Diego artist known for his sculptural jewelry and bronze art. Crafted in the 1960s-70s, the buckle displays a striking radial “atomic” or “organic cell” motif – hand-cast in solid bronze with an earthy, brutalist texture. The form is bold and sculptural, resembling Boyd’s known belt buckles, kinetic sculptures, and sandcast jewelry from the same era. This is a compelling collector’s find. Dimensions: 3″ x 2.75″.
LUREX BABY 50s Atomic Mid Century JACK STICKS Barkcloth Era Rayon Vintage Fabric
I tried to convey that movement in my photos so you could see. This has its original JC Pennty tag on the corner… Made likely around the mid to late 50’s in a pattern of jack sticks and tiny orby polka dots… A deep dark luxe dark teal green green with stripes of gold lurex and a print of jack sticks in turquoise… Measures 64 inches wide x 70 inches long. It could be used or light upholstery if it were lined… Otherwise drapery and I believe with the width of this fabric at that time… If you dig brand new old stock… Then this one is irresistible. But who wants to take a return right? So I do my best to add lots of photos that depict the weight and texture and do so thoughtfully so you are getting the most virtual experience. Of course I will take a return… I’m just hoping more the pricing will WOW YA over wanting to return it : Here is to a summer of fabulous Florida Finds.
