This is very rare mid-century frame made of metal wire. It measures a giant 16 x 16″ and is about 5 1/2″ deep. The frame holds an 8 x 10 photo. There is a cardboard back and glass held by two bend tabs under edge. It is in very good condition with some wear/chips to paint and aging/edge wear to cardboard. The bent wires are welded to frame and top piece. They are stacked at intersection without welding. There are no broken welds. Please see photos for scale and exact condition. We can provide more info and photos as needed. This incredible, sculptural, abstract frame has been in our collection for over 30 years. We originally thought it may have been a store display piece but we once saw a small standard 5×7 one so it was likely intended for a moderne home. The designer is unknown, but it is reminiscent of metalwork by Frederick Weinberg, Tony Paul, Alexander Calder, and other midcentury designers.

These are 6, original, 1950s, metal. Wire plaques featuring different drinks and cocktails. There is a cherry martini type glass, beer mug, wine bottle/corkscrew, swizzle stick cocktail, brandy sniffer, and liquor bottle. The pieces are very sculptural with a wild, 3d style design. The metal wire and mesh is black and there is an occasional red detail. I believe the finish is original. They are in very good condition with light wear and no broken welds. Stunning midcentury modernist sterling silver brooch by Aare & Krog of Denmark. Light patina on the back and wear commensurate with age – in lovely condition as it’s probably 50s or 60s. Signed A&K on the back. Measures approx 5cm in longest dimension, approx 4cm across the pin.
Two fabulous Mid Century Barkcloth atomic abstract design drapery panels. Gray background with atomic shapes in colors of chartreuse, pinkish/red, ivory, and black. Unlined pinch pleated panels each measuring 80″ x 35″ at the top where it is pinch pleated, and 80″ x 44″ the rest of the fabric where not pleated. It appears that the bottom seam of each panel was sewn by hand, and the side seams were done by machine. See photographs for details. The drapes are in overall good condition. At the top where the pinch pleats were sewn there is some wear/fraying of the material. Please see photographs for examples of the wear/condition of the drapes.
