Ceiling Light Original Atomic 1960’s MCM Skittle White Glass Pendant Black Lined
An Vintage Moulded Glass Atomic Era Sputnik Ceiling Light Pendant. The light has an original cased glass “Skittle” shaped Lampshade with a narrow top – The colour is white with hand applied black linear detailing. A real Mid Century Modern design piece in VGC for age. The light is complete with some of its original fittings and original mounting. The shade is held in place by a retractable metal tripod mount which allows the shade to “float” when hung. The three metal tripod arms can be retracted back allowing the shade to be removed for cleaning etc. The original Philips BC bulb holder is included, the earth point has been replaced with a modern version and the light also has a modern cord grip and brass mounting. Cable is brand new and earthed and the light works perfectly. Also included is a modern pressed brass ceiling rose with a cord grip. The light looks great when lit and produces a bright and interesting lighting effect. Please see my images for the best details. Longest Drop is 140 Cm – Max Shade Diameter is 17 Cm – Shade height is 35.2 Cm. Condition is very good, the light works well and is free of damage. A couple of very small marks from age along with marks in the glass and decoration from manufacture and the odd glass bubble. General signs of age. Bulb holder & Wiring are new & earthed. A Vintage and Very Retro 1960s Atomic Era Glass Ceiling Light Pendant. A White glass shade in Brilliant white with 1960s Black and yellow Atomic leaf and linear decorations. The light is a single drop pendant offered with a long length of Gold earthed Electric Cable. The Pendant has a round tapering stepped shade with a domed base and a gallery fitting top. The light is supplied with a brand new Brass three screw gallery. Also supplied is a new earthed Brass BC bulb holder with a built in cord grip and a. Simple pressed brass ceiling rose with a new black cord grip. The light looks great when lit with the white glass & Atomic pattern providing an interesting and retro effect.
