Vintage 60s Danish Teak Wood Floor Lamp Cylinder Shade Mid Century Modern Light
Item: For your consideration we are presenting for sale an amazing vintage sculptural danish floor lamp with its original accompanying cylindrical shade. The base is constructed of teak wood, and the shade is fiberglass on the interior, and it has a textile outer covering (see photos). The lamp has a metal pull chain switch located at the socket. The lamp has three different output intensities in terms of brightness. We are uncertain as to the maker. There is a piece of green felt along the underside of the base – we didn’t attempt to remove it, but it does need to be replaced. This lamp will look great in any mid century modern or danish modern interior setting! The lamp stands approx. 52″ tall x 7.5″ wider x 7.5 deep. The sculptural wood portion of the base, including the round base at the bottom, measures approx. The cylindrical shade measures approx. 18″ tall x 7.25″ in diameter. The round wooden base at the bottom measures approx. Condition: The lamp is in great shape – there are no chips, cracks, breaks, repairs, etc. The wood shows only light traces of wear commensurate with age and use – nothing bad. All-in-all, it’s been very well cared for by its previous owners. The shade is in great shape as well – no rips, holes, tears, burn marks, etc. The electrical wiring appears to be original, and is in good condition – no frays, splits, exposed wires, etc. The lamp is in fully-functioning, working condition. The base is constructed of chalkware, and is curvy like a snake. The front and back surfaces are textured in beige and gold, while the remainder of the chalkware body is turquoise in color, with the exception of the base, which is black. The double-tier fiberglass shade is beige on the larger tier, and turquoise with black and gold accents on the smaller upper tier. The finial is brass and is atomic in design. The lamp has a standard on/off rotary switch located at the socket which is used to turn the lamp on/off. We are uncertain as to the maker. It’s a definite statement piece that’ll make a splash in any mid century modern interior setting! With the double-tier fiberglass shade attached, the lamp stands approx. 35.25 tall (measured from the bottom of the base to the top of the atomic finial). The distance from the bottom of the base to the light socket is approx. The chalkware portion of the lamp measures approx. 21.5″ tall x 10″ wide (measured at the bottom of the base) x 5.25 deep. The double-tier fiberglass shade measures approx. 8″ tall x 18″ in diameter (measured across the top tier) x 20 in diameter (measured across the bottom tier). Condition: Given it’s age, we’d say the lamp is in very good condition with only minor cosmetic wear… There are no major chips, cracks, breaks, repairs, etc. The black portion of the base at the bottom shows a few edge paint flecks. Also, the top surface looks like the black coloration is worn on both sides – a fresh application of black paint will remedy that, or it can just be left alone – we chose to leave it in the condition in which it was acquired. Super Cool Vintage 50s Ceramic Lamp Fiberglass Shade Mid Century Modern Atomic
Item: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a super cool vintage atomic era ceramic table lamp complete with its original trapezoidal-shaped fiberglass lamp shade. Circa’50s /’60s. The ceramic base is brown in color with scattered white accents (see photos). The base also has a striated texture throughout. The fiberglass shade is beige in color, as is typical from lamps of this era, and it has black, gold and white randoms painted arcs on it throughout. The finial for the lamp is an amber colored glass ball, and we are assuming that it is original to the lamp as well. We are uncertain as to the maker – there are no marks, labels, or tags present. This lamp will make a great addition to any mid century modern or atomic-themed home! With the shade attached, the lamp stands approx. The ceramic alone measures approx. 14.5″ tall x 12″ wide x 5.75 deep. The shade alone measures approx. 7″ tall x 13″ wide x 8 deep. Condition: The lamp is in very good condition for its age. The ceramic base is free from chips, cracks, breaks, repairs, etc. The fiberglass shade is free from rips, holes, tears, repairs, burn marks, etc. All of the lacing is intact. The shade shows light traces of wear that are consistent with age and use. The bottom edge of the fiberglass material shows very mild discoloration – our guess is it should come out with a gentle washing. We have not attempted to try to clean it any way as it is minor and doesn’t particularly interfere with any thing. Vintage 50s 60s Metal Desk Lamp Diffuser Shade Mid Century Modern Atomic Era
Item: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a vintage desk lamp with diffuser shade. The lamp is made of metal. The round shade has the ability to rotate at its attachment point. There is a perforated gold-colored diffuser on the top surface (see photos). Takes a standard sized light bulb. The back of the round base still retains its original Underwriter’s Laboratories label (see photo). Measurements: The lamp stands approx. The round shade is approx. The round metal base measures approx. 7.25 in diameter. There are light scufff marks on the shade (see photos), as well as on the base. The round brass disc that rests atop the base shows signs of tarnishing (see photos). No dents, dings, repairs, etc. The electrical wiring is original to the lamp, and it is in the fully-functioning working order. No frays, splits, exposed wires, etc. As with all vintage lighting, we strongly recommend having it checked by a licensed professional prior to long-term use.
