Vintage Round Black Wire Metal Cage Lamp Mid Century Modern Lighting Atomic Era
Item: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a rare vintage atomic era black wire cage table lamp. It has a plastic-like material that wraps around the exterior of the base forming the shade (see photos). The electrical wiring contains an inline on/off switch that is used to turn the lamp on and off. The lamp is unsigned insofar as we’ve been able to detect – we are not certain as to the maker. We’ve come across these lamps in the past, and it seems there has never been a definitive answer as to who designed them. The lamp stands approx. 15.25″ tall x 8″ in diameter. There are no chips, cracks, breaks, repairs, etc. To the wire portion of the lamp. The shade material that wraps around the exterior of the base is also in great shape – no rips, holes, tears, burn marks, etc. Displays only the slightest signs of wear that are consistent with age and use. The electrical wiring appears to be original, and is in good condition – no frays, splits, exposed wires, etc. The lamp is in fully-functioning, working condition.
