Vintage 1940’s Walter Von Nessen Mid Century Modern Atomic Tripod Floor Lamp. For your consideration is this 1940’s. Mid Century Modern/Atomic Classic Floor Lamp Designed by Walter Von Nessen. This striking Lamp Features a. Brass Sphere Ball, detailing the Black Metal Rods that Tripod down to the Base…… I love the brass features the round base holding the rods, and the ball where the legs converge. You dont see these two features in many tripod lamps, yet the overall design speaks to Nessen’s timeless elegance in design. Shade is in excellent condition free from any chips, cracks or damage. A 3 way mogul socket but you can use a regular light bulb with a reducer socket if desired. I have also included 2 pictures that show examples of the lamp with a fabric shade in both Black and White. These display the many moods of this lamp you can choose as options other then the milk glass shade that is included. Measurements: The lamp stands an impressive 56″ tall including shade and measures 11-1/2″ in diameter at the round brass base. Shade measures 5″ tall x 10″ in diameter at top. Overall, the lamp is in good condition for its age. The lamp is structurally strong and sound. As expected due to age, the brass has taken on a aged patina. The round brass base at the ground shows signs of some oxidation and pitting…. Please see all pictures to determine exact condition. The electrical wiring is in good condition, and it appears to be original to the lamp. One containing lamp body, and the other containing the Milk Glass lamp shade. Vintage 1940s 1950s Bark Cloth Mid Century Modern Large Fabric Atomic Age MCM
Atomic design bark cloth fabric from the late 1940s or 1950s. 80 inches long by 61 inches wide. A double seam runs the length of the 80 inches, it’s 17 inches from the edge. A few minor issues. Such as extremely tiny rust spots here and there. There are 3 openings which can be easily repaired. Some small areas of very light stains that are barely noticeable. 2 small spots on the fabric that seem to be wax like. Last photo shows the reverse side of the cloth. The background color appears a greenish tone in the photos, but it is actually ivory. Please excuse the uneven lighting.
