Vintage Atomic Ceramic Lamp with Fiberglass Shade Mid Century 1950’s Leslie China
Gorgeous 1950s ceramic table lamp in a tan matte glaze with all over black and ivory speckling, further detailed with ivory and gold brushed accents. I believe this to be made by Leslie China Co. Shade is in good vintage condition with some imperfections. There are a couple of extra holes for the lacing on the lower tier. Lower ring of the top tier has some damage to the fiberglass at the lacing holes in 2 spots and it appears that the top tier was re-laced to the lower tier using a thin yellow green ribbon. The black lacing is intact and tight. There appears to be a rust spot on the inside seam near the bottom of the top tier. Shade frame is rusty. Please inspect pics as I’ve documented these issues there. Despite these minor imperfections the lamp shade displays very well for its age. Approximate lamp size:base stands 16″ tall and 28″ tall with shade8″ width5.25″ depth. Lamp shade:19″ diameter at its widest and 10″ tall. Reen & blue geometrical motif border with a popular futuristic space-age look. The set is marked on most pieces. Mid Century Modern Atomic Star Syracuse China Dish Set Evening Star Pattern
This is one of the oldest china companies in the USA. This service for 8, with the hard to find Evening Star pattern, will fit seamlessly in any mid century connoisseurs home. Each place setting includes a dinner plate, bread/dessert plate, coffee cup and saucer. 33 pieces total including the extra large matching serving platter – which is extremely rare. The dinnerware features an awesome black line, gold tipped star design pattern in the center of each light ivory plate along with some whimsical design details accenting each piece. Anyone who sees this set will immediately know it is true mid century fab! All of the pieces (-1) appear to have had very little to no use. There are very faint utensil marks on a couple of the dinner plates but they are so minimal I wasn’t able to capture it in my photos. All pieces are super shiny and don’t have any fading or scuffs on the silver/platinum accent bands. None of the pieces have any chips or craps other than the one coffee cup that is noted in the photo. I recommend hand washing to keep them as beautiful as they are today for years to come.
