Vintage 1950s 1960s Ceramic Brass Lamp Atomic Era Mid Century Modern Lighting
Item: For your consideration we are presenting for sale an unusual vintage atomic era table lamp that looks like a rocket getting ready blast off into space! Circa’50s /’60s. The base is constructed of a pierced brass component the rests just below the light socket. Beneath that there is a bulbous matte black ceramic component. The ceramic piece rests atop a brass accent piece which ultimately connects to the four atomic legs of the lamp at the very bottom. The lamp has a standard on/off rotary knob switch which is located at the socket. No shade present – that’ll be left up to the purchaser to supply on their own. It’ll make a nice addition to any mid century modern home or lamp collection. The lamp stands approx. 31.25 tall (measured from the bottom of the base to the finial), and approx. 23.25 tall (measured from the bottom of the base to the light socket). The distance between the two front and two back legs is approx. 6.75, and between the front and back legs approx. Condition: Overall the lamp is in very good condition. The brass elements show a nice gentle patina that comes with age. The ceramic portion shows a small light area which looks like a superficial scuff (see photo) – it doesn’t particularly detract, but we wanted to point it out for accuracy. The electrical wiring appears to be original to the lamp, and is in good condition – no frays, splits, exposed wires, etc. The lamp is in fully-functioning, working condition. Vintage 50s 60s Brass Metal Lamp Glass Shades Mid Century Modern Lighting Atomic
Item: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a cool vintage doubled shaded brass / metal table lamp. Circa’50s /’60s. Each of the rounded shades has its own socket on the interior, and there is a textured round glass insert that rests on the bottom of each. The shades are open / exposed from the top. The shades are also pierced, which allows for light to shine out from the small holes (see photos). The lamp has a standard rotary knob switch which is located on the back side of the base, and it allows for 3-way functionality: one or the other sockets can be lit independently of the other, or a third twist sets them both to illuminate at the same time. We are uncertain as to the maker – no labels or tags present. There is felt on the underside of the base that is intact – we didn’t attempt to remove it to see if there are any labels underneath. A great lamp that’ll look fantastic in any setting! The lamp stands approx. 17.25″ tall (measured from the bottom of the base to the top of each of the rounded shades) x 18″ wide (measured from the rim edge of one shade to the rim edge of the adjacent shade). The round metal base at the bottom measures approx. 5″ in diameter x 2.5″ tall. Each of the round brass shades measures approx. 6″ in diameter x 3″ tall. Condition: Overall, the lamp is in very good condition. There are no dents, dings, breaks, repairs, etc. Each of the shades shows some superficial scratch marks / color loss (see photos for examples) – they don’t particularly detract, but they are there and are being mentioned for accuracy. Item: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a rare vintage atomic era table lamp. The base is constructed of iron, and there are two ceramic inserts, one rests at the very top and serves as a shallow dish – perhaps for some faux plants, and the other insert is also ceramic and encloses the light bulb. Both ceramic pieces are off-white in color, with thin black paint swirls throughout. The lamp stands approx. The ceramic dish / bowl at the top has a diameter of approx. 11, and it is approx. The ceramic encasement around the light bulb measures approx. 8″ tall x 6″ in diameter. The distance between the legs is approx. Condition: Excellent condition – no chips, cracks, breaks, repairs, bends, dents, dings, etc. The interior side of the dish at the top shows some minor signs of light discoloration from age and use – nothing objectionable whatsoever (see photos)… We’re solely mentioning it for accuracy. Item: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a very cool vintage table lamp. Circa’50s /’60s. The lamp appears to be made of metal, and it has a very nice solid weight to it. We are uncertain as to the maker. No shade present – that’ll be left up to the purchaser to provide. The lamp stands approx. 29.5 tall (measured from the bottom of the base to the top of the harp). The distance from the bottom of the base to the light socket is approx. The black and red decorative metal component measures approx. The round brass base measures approx. 6.25 in diameter. The lamp shows some scattered paint loss (see photos). The round brass base shows some signs of discoloration and tarnishing – nothing overly alarming (see photos). We have not attempted to clean or polish the base in an manner, so with a little elbow grease and tlc, you might be able to spiff it up a bit. The round base also looks slightly out-of-round on one side (again, see photo) – we think it can be finessed back into shape from the underside of the base – that’s something that we’ll leave up to the purchaser to handle. Vintage 50s Metal Brass Boomerang Lamp Mid Century Modern Lighting Majestic Era
Item: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a stunning vintage table lamp that dates back to the atomic era. It features three cast metal boomerang accent shapes that are each intersected by a cylindrical brass rod. Each boomerang shape is staggered at slightly different heights. They are black and have beige paint splatter design throughout. The on/off switch is located by the brass cup that surrounds the light socket. Not sure of the maker – there are no labels or tags present. Measurements: The lamp stands approx. 29.25″ tall (from the bottom of the base to the top of the milk glass diffuser shade) x 25″ tall from the bottom of the base to the top of the brass cup surrounding the socket. The upper-most boomerang shape adornment measures approx. The middle boomerang shape measures approx. 6.25 wide, and the bottom-most boomerang shape measures approx. The rounded brass base measures approx. Condition: All in all, the lamp is in very good condition given its age – there are no breaks, cracks, dents, dings, repairs, etc. There is a tiny bit of paint missing on the boomerang accent pieces, mainly along the edges (see photos). We left it alone when we acquired the lamp; however, it’d be really simple and inexpensive to touch up, if desired. We will leave that up to the purchaser to decide. The brass base, rods, and brass cup around the socket are free from dents, dings, repairs, etc. There is some tarnishing to the brass in spots (see photos), and general surface wear from age. It could maybe use a gentle polishing, if desired. We think it displays very well as it is! The wiring is free from frays, splits, exposed wires, etc. And is original to the lamp. The lamp is in fully functioning, working condition. As with all vintage lighting, we’d recommend having a licensed professional have a look at it prior to long-term use. Vintage 50s 60s Metal Table Lamp Mid Century Modern Atomic Era Retro Lighting
Item: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a vintage atomic era table lamp. Circa’50s /’60s. It features a round metal disc at the base, with three (3) evenly spaced metal cylinders that project upward, each ending in a round gold metal atomic ball. The brass metal socket cup that surrounds the actual light socket has five-pointed star cut-outs (see photos); we believe this is to allow the light to shine out from the holes when the lamp is turned on. We are uncertain as to the maker – the lamp does not appear to be signed, and there are no labels. There is no shade present – that’ll be left up to the purchaser to provide on their own. It’ll make a great addition to any mid century modern or atomic-themed home! The lamp stands approx. 20 tall (measured from the bottom of the base to the top of the brass cup surrounding the light socket). The round metal base measures approx. 7.5 in diameter. The brass cut surrounding the light socket measures approx. 3.75″ tall x 4.25″ in diameter (measured across the top opening). Condition: Overall the lamp is in very good cosmetic condition, but it does have some wear that we’ll mention here. First off, the lamp needs to be rewired as it is not in working order at the moment. It’s a simple and inexpensive job that can be tackled by any licensed electrician. The round base at the bottom may have been repainted at one point in time – there are some minor flakes to the color that is currently there (see photos). The brass cup surrounding the socket is very slightly out of round at the top edge (see photo). It’s not really noticeable, but we are mentioning it for accuracy. Aside from that, the lamp is very presentable and is ready for a new home!
