Vintage 50s 60s Metal Desk Lamp Diffuser Shade Mid Century Modern Atomic Era
Item: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a vintage desk lamp with diffuser shade. The lamp is made of metal. The round shade has the ability to rotate at its attachment point. There is a perforated gold-colored diffuser on the top surface (see photos). Takes a standard sized light bulb. The back of the round base still retains its original Underwriter’s Laboratories label (see photo). Measurements: The lamp stands approx. The round shade is approx. The round metal base measures approx. 7.25 in diameter. There are light scufff marks on the shade (see photos), as well as on the base. The round brass disc that rests atop the base shows signs of tarnishing (see photos). No dents, dings, repairs, etc. The electrical wiring is original to the lamp, and it is in the fully-functioning working order. Vintage 50s 60s Pink Brass Metal Atomic Lamp Mid Century Modern Fiberglass Shade
Item: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a vintage atomic era table with its original accompanying double-tier fiberglass shade. Circa’50s /’60s. The lamp base is a pink ceramic, and just above that there is a brass metal atomic accent piece between it and the light socket. The fiberglass shade is double-tiered, and pinkish in color with curly fibrous filaments randomly scattered throughout. There is a standard on/off rotary knob switch that is located by the light socket. With the shade attached, the lamp stands approx. The distance measured from the bottom of the base to the light socket is approx. The atomic brass accent piece measures approx. 8″ tall x 6″ wide x 6 deep. The double-tier fiberglass shade measures approx. The upper, small tier measures approx. 13 in diameter, and the larger, lower tier is approx. Condition: Overall the lamp is in very good condition for its age – there are no chips, cracks, breaks, repairs, etc. There is a small amount of tarnishing to the lower edge of the base at the very bottom (see photos) – we did not attempt to clean or polish this in any manner. The fiberglass shade is free from rips, holes, tears, creases, burns, etc. The lacing is old and brittle in spots. While it is together for the most part, there are some areas where the lacing is coming undone (not the holes that the lacing goes through). If desired, it can easily be re-laced, and we’d be happy to do this for the purchaser at no extra charge. This didn’t bother us, so we left it as it was acquired. The electrical wiring appears to be original to the lamp, with no visible issues – no frays, splits, exposed or brittle wires. The lamp is in fully-functioning, working order. Vintage 50s 60s Brass Metal Lamp Glass Shades Mid Century Modern Lighting Atomic
Item: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a cool vintage doubled shaded brass / metal table lamp. Circa’50s /’60s. Each of the rounded shades has its own socket on the interior, and there is a textured round glass insert that rests on the bottom of each. The shades are open / exposed from the top. The shades are also pierced, which allows for light to shine out from the small holes (see photos). The lamp has a standard rotary knob switch which is located on the back side of the base, and it allows for 3-way functionality: one or the other sockets can be lit independently of the other, or a third twist sets them both to illuminate at the same time. We are uncertain as to the maker – no labels or tags present. There is felt on the underside of the base that is intact – we didn’t attempt to remove it to see if there are any labels underneath. A great lamp that’ll look fantastic in any setting! The lamp stands approx. 17.25″ tall (measured from the bottom of the base to the top of each of the rounded shades) x 18″ wide (measured from the rim edge of one shade to the rim edge of the adjacent shade). The round metal base at the bottom measures approx. 5″ in diameter x 2.5″ tall. Each of the round brass shades measures approx. 6″ in diameter x 3″ tall. Condition: Overall, the lamp is in very good condition. There are no dents, dings, breaks, repairs, etc. Each of the shades shows some superficial scratch marks / color loss (see photos for examples) – they don’t particularly detract, but they are there and are being mentioned for accuracy. The glass inserts that rest on the inside bottom surfaces of the metal shades are both in great shape – no chips, cracks, breaks, repairs, etc. The electrical wiring appears to be original to the lamp, and it is in good shape – no frays, splits, exposed or brittle wires. Vintage 50s Black Metal Saucer Retractable Ceiling Light Lamp Mid Century Atomic
Item: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a rare and simply amazing vintage retractable ceiling light / lamp fixture manufactured by Star Lite. The round metal shade is saucer / ufo-like in appearance, and it is black in color. The top surface has randomly scattered pierced holes in two different sizes (see photos). When light shines through them, it creates a nice effect. The fixture has a retractable cord that is contained within the brass metal egg-shaped cup that is located just above the metal shade. Below the metal shade is another frosted glass shade, and a round ring pull down mechanism which is used to raise and lower the height of the fixture. The fixture takes two standard sized lightbulbs. The on/off rotary knob switch is located central to the metal ring (see photos). The fixture still retains its original “Star Lite” yellow label on the inside of the round ceiling canopy (see photo). This fixture is such a nice size as well. It’ll make a great addition to any mid century modern or atomic-themed setting! The round metal shade measures approx. The round glass shade that rests beneath it measures approx. 12.75 in diameter. The brass cup that contains the retractable cord measures approx. 5.5″ tall x 3.75″ wide x 3.75 deep. With the retractable cord inside the brass cup, the fixture has a drop hang of approx. Condition: This fixture is in very good condition – there are no dents, dings, scratches, repairs, rust, oxidation, etc. The retractable mechanism is also in working condition with no problems to report. The fixture is in working order – just needs to be hardwired by an electrician into a ceiling. We did not take photos of it before it was removed from its last location, but we can assure you it works without there being any issues. Vintage 50s Metal Table Lamp Planter Fiberglass Shades Mid Century Modern Atomic
Item: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a cool vintage atomic era table lamp with original matching fiberglass shades. The base is constructed of metal. There are two curvy brass tubes which lead up to the two light sockets. Beneath the shades, but just above the round metal base, there is a round hollow cup that accommodate faux plants. The cup is also removable. The exterior color of the cup and base at the bottom are a pinkish color. There is a round ornate brass plate that is affixed to the top of the base at the bottom. The fiberglass shades are matching. Each is a beige color with thick gold and white brush strokes throughout (see photos). There is an on/off rotary knob switch that is located on the bottom base. It allows for 3-way functionality of the lamp: Either of the two sockets can be lit independently of the other, or a third twist of the rotary knob can allow for both sockets to be lit up at the same time. This groovy lamp will make a nice addition to any mid century modern or atomic-themed home! With the fiberglass shades attached, the lamp stands approx. 29″ tall x 18.5″ wide. Each of the shades measures approx. 7″ tall x 10″ in diameter. The round planter cup measures approx. 4.5″ tall x 5″ wide x 5 deep. The bottom of the base at the bottom measures approx. 5.5 in diameter. Condition: Overall the lamp in in very good condition for its age. There is some scattered paint loss here and there – it can easily be touched up or left alone – we chose the latter. The inside of the removable metal plant cup shows some signs of surface rust (see photo) – again, this can easily be touched up or just left alone. If you are going to put faux plants inside it, you won’t even know the difference. The lamp could use a general cleaning. The metal components appear to be free from dents, dings, repairs, etc. The fiberglass shades are in very nice shape – they are free from rips, holes, tears, burn marks, etc. There are some light marks on the fiberglass material that are consistent with age, and they should come out with a gentle cleaning. The lacing appears to be original to the shades, and it is intact. The lamp is in fully-functioning, working condition. It has a plastic-like material that wraps around the exterior of the base forming the shade (see photos). Manufactured by Cosco Stylaire Hamilton in Columbus Indiana and stamped underneath the seats 1955. Padded seat and backs. We surmise the color of the chairs and seats are called champagne and or tan color. Will need a little soap and water but still in nice condition. 31 inches tall by 18 inches wide by 18 inches deep wall out. Substantial in weight and made for long lasting durable use. Vintage 50s 60s Brass Metal Lamp Glass Shades Mid Century Modern Lighting Atomic
Item: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a cool vintage doubled shaded brass / metal table lamp. Circa’50s /’60s. Each of the rounded shades has its own socket on the interior, and there is a textured round glass insert that rests on the bottom of each. The shades are open / exposed from the top. The shades are also pierced, which allows for light to shine out from the small holes (see photos). The lamp has a standard rotary knob switch which is located on the back side of the base, and it allows for 3-way functionality: one or the other sockets can be lit independently of the other, or a third twist sets them both to illuminate at the same time. We are uncertain as to the maker – no labels or tags present. There is felt on the underside of the base that is intact – we didn’t attempt to remove it to see if there are any labels underneath. A great lamp that’ll look fantastic in any setting! The lamp stands approx. 17.25″ tall (measured from the bottom of the base to the top of each of the rounded shades) x 18″ wide (measured from the rim edge of one shade to the rim edge of the adjacent shade). The round metal base at the bottom measures approx. 5″ in diameter x 2.5″ tall. Each of the round brass shades measures approx. 6″ in diameter x 3″ tall. Condition: Overall, the lamp is in very good condition. There are no dents, dings, breaks, repairs, etc. Each of the shades shows some superficial scratch marks / color loss (see photos for examples) – they don’t particularly detract, but they are there and are being mentioned for accuracy. The glass inserts that rest on the inside bottom surfaces of the metal shades are both in great shape – no chips, cracks, breaks, repairs, etc. The electrical wiring appears to be original to the lamp, and it is in good shape – no frays, splits, exposed or brittle wires. The lamp is in fully-functioning, working order. As with all vintage lighting, we always strongly recommend having a licensed professional inspect the wiring prior to long-term use, especially if it hasn’t been updated in a long time. Vintage 50s 60s MCM Metal Atomic Drink Ashtray Smoke Stand Mid Century Modern
Item: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a fantastic vintage atomic era free-standing drink carrier and ashtray. Circa’50s, and all original! There is a carrying handle at the top just above the ashtray, and two drink holders that flank either side of the ashtray. It still retains all of the original black caps on the ends (handle, legs and ashtray supports – see photos). We are uncertain as to the maker. It’ll make a great addition to any mid century modern atomic-themed interior setting. 19.5 tall (measured from the ground surface to the carrying handle just above the ashtray). The distance between the front leg and the two back legs is approx. 13 on each side, while the distance between the two back legs is approx. The rounded ashtray is approx. 5 in diameter, while the two drink holders on either side measures approx. 3″ in diameter x 3″ high. Condition: Very good condition.
